The legendary matchup has been settled.

3D simulation of Anthony Joshua vs Mike Tyson ends in brutal third-round KO after one-sided beatdown

A 3D simulation has shown exactly what would happen if Anthony Joshua fought prime Mike Tyson, and the ending is brutal.

Joshua returns to the ring on Saturday night, as he hopes to reclaim the IBF heavyweight title and become a three time world champion.

He faces fellow Brit Daniel Dubois, who was upgraded to the IBF champion after former undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt earlier this year.

Should Joshua win the bout, he will become only the fourth man to become a heavyweight champion on three separate occasions, leading some fans to question how he would face against the best heavyweights from other generations.

And now we have an answer.

Tyson is undoubtedly one of the fiercest and most intimidating boxers ever to fight in the ring, and one fan decided to create a 3D simulation to see how a fight between Iron Mike in his prime and Joshua would go down.

In the tale of the tape for the simulation, Joshua appears to have a clear advantage boasting a height advantage of seven inches and a huge 11 inch reach advantage.

The Brit also comes into the simulated fight 45lbs heavier than his opponent, with both men fighting at the 20 years old.

As soon as the fight begins, the differences in the height of the two men is instantly noticeable but, as it was in his actual career, it proves no issue for Tyson he quickly establishes himself in the fight.

Iron Mike dominates the fight, cutting Joshua badly in the first round before rocking and knocking down the Brit early in the second round.

Joshua makes it until the end of the second round, but just seconds into the third is brutally knocked out by Tyson, ending the fight.

And if the fight could have taken place, Joshua himself admitted that he believes this could be exactly how it would have gone down.

Speaking at an event in 2017, Joshua said: “Mike Tyson would have battered me.

“There was no way I could have taken on that guy. I would have taken that paycheck. I would have taken a dive against Tyson.

“He was a beast, mate, he was a beast. I give all credit and respect to Tyson. Even now, Tyson is in his 40s going on 50, I still remember Tyson as the young, young 21-year-old. He was that good and made such an impact on the sport.”
