Ant and Dec shock I’m A Celebrity stars with ‘unexpected’ announcement minutes into final

I’m A Celebrity 2024 finalists Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones and Reverend Richard Coles were left emotional as Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly shocked them with some big news in the final episode

There was shock and tears during I’m A Celebrity’s final episode of 2024 on Sunday night.

As the highlights from Saturday were aired, we saw the remaining campmates dealt some shocking news by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly. One star confessed they “didn’t expect it” as another got upset after a big realisation.

Ant and Dec had entered camp to announce the latest vote-off result on Saturday, with the scenes airing first thing during Sunday’s final. Ant and Dec confirmed that Strictly Come Dancing favourite Oti Mabuse was out, and had not made the final three.

The star, who had been tipped to win, headed out of camp after saying her goodbyes with Ant and Dec then confirming the last three campmates standing were this year’s finalists. With that, Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones and Reverend Richard Coles realised they had made it to the final.

They could not believe this or that Oti had gone, quickly reacting to Ant and Dec’s unexpected announcement. Rev Richard was sharing he “couldn’t believe it”, as Coleen had a little cry in the Bush Telegraph.

Waving Oti off as she headed over the bridge for her exit chat with Ant and Dec, the final three stars struggled to process the big news. McFly star Danny shared: “It feels amazing, I didn’t expect this at all.”

Meanwhile Richard said: “I can’t believe I’m one of the final three! I never thought I would make it this far.” Coleen then left to have a cry, sharing she was “proud” to have made it all the way to the end, ahead of the winner being confirmed on Sunday’s show.

She said: “Knowing that I have made it to the final makes me proud. I’m a proud mum, I’m a proud wife, I’m a proud daughter, it’s very rare that I’m proud of myself, so… I’m getting emotional. So it means a lot. It’s very rare that I put myself first, so yeah these are happy tears!”

Just before she left, Oti had reflected on her time in camp. She revealed: “There’s a little bit of a buzz in camp this morning. We are the final four and soon we are going to become the final three and we don’t know who’s going to leave but either way the four of us feel like we’ve had the entire journey and whatever happens, happens but I know I would’ve had the time of my life!”
