Jake Paul receives huge backlash for what he did minutes after Donald Trump declared himself US president

Jake Paul was quick to respond after Donald Trump declared himself President – and it’s provoked a huge response.

Trump is now on course to return to the White House, even if official confirmation of the result may take some time as vote counting processes vary by state.

However, Trump has now appeared on stage to declare victory, and invited UFC President Dana White to join him.

Other celebrities have begun reacting to the news, including podcaster Joe Rogan and Elon Musk.

Paul took to Musk’s platform, X, to share his views on the result. The boxer, who is set to fight Mike Tyson on November 15, wrote: “The truth and god won in America.

This is a massive step in the right direction to heal the major issues going on in the world currently. America is saved.”

But he immediately began receiving a series of negative comments in response, and many people referenced his upcoming fight with Tyson.

One angry person wrote: “Mike Tyson about to take half of America’s anger out on Jake Paul next week.”

Another agreed: “Can’t wait to see Jake Paul beaten up.”

A third said: “I hope Mike puts you in a coma.”

However, there were plenty of negative responses that ignored the upcoming fight as they expressed anger and disappointment with Paul’s political views.

One simply posted: “A prime example of someone who has been hit in the head too many times.”

But there were also lots of people writing back in response thanking Paul for his endorsement of Trump.

One supporter responded: “Mike Tyson, spare his life, he just helped America.”

Another wrote: “I’m actually going to buy your fights now.”

There were also examples of people saying that Paul has changed their minds with his comments.

One X user posted: “I gotta say over the past month you have won me over tenfold. Thank you for your honesty and truth. You now have a lifelong fan.”

Paul is set to fight Tyson at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, next week.

A crowd of around 80,000 could be in the stadium for the event, although promoters have reportedly slashed prices on hundreds of tickets.
