Coleen Nolan reveals exactly when she’ll quit Loose Women and reason why

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has revealed when she will quit the show after 24 years on the panel.

The TV presenter, 59, has been a part of the ITV panel show for over two decades, having laughed alongside her co-stars about their relationship hang-ups and sex confessions. She is not afraid to be candid about her personal life, having gone through divorces, raising her children and losing her sister Bernie all while being on Loose Women.Coleen Nolan

The singer has even introduced viewers to her new partner Michael Jones and this week, shared her personal battle as she admitted that she ‘struggles’ to sleep. Despite being a long-standing member of the show’s panel, Coleen has now revealed when she thinks she’ll step away from the daytime programme.

She confessed: “I’ll be with Loose Women as long as they want me, or as long as it is on air, because I love it and I’d really miss it. It’s kind of been the constant thing in my life for 24 years.” Coleen added to Woman’s Own: “More than anything else, Loose Women has been the constant – so why would I want to give that up?”

The former Nolans singer admitted the Loose Women stars are worried about being cancelled. She believes there are now “certain things you can’t say” and that they are “all worried about it”. Coleen said she “self-edits” while live on air and confessed their pre-show morning meeting sees them really share their true opinions.

She added Loose Women would “be a completely different show” but would “definitely be taken off air”. Coleen recently shared her struggles with insomina while on the ITV show alongside Ruth Langsford, Jane Moore and Olivia Attwood-Dack. In an emotional moment, Coleen opened up and said: “I don’t know if it’s menopause but all of a sudden I can not remember the last time I had a proper full night’s sleep. So I fall asleep easily but then I wake up at like 2am, probably 2am till 5am and I’m wide awake.”

She continued: “It’s so hard because I’m so tired in the day and then I think this is good. I’m so exhausted during the day but when I get home I can’t sleep. For some reason I get in bed and my brain is like ‘no’. It’s really frustrating and to this day the only way I sleep really well is on a car, plane or train and that’s probably from touring when I was younger.”

The show has celebrated its 25th anniversary this week, with Coleen paying tribute on social media. She wrote: “25 years of @loosewomen (24 for me) of so much fun, laughters and also at times tears. Thank you Loose Women for being such a major part of my life, and to all you wonderful viewers thank you for your loyalty and support. Here’s to the next 25! Love you all.”
