Ruth Langsford admits she ‘hasn’t eaten much for days’ as she’s struck down with mystery illness

Ruth Langsford has issued a health update to Instagram fans, revealing she hasn’t left her home for a number of days.

The TV star has had a dramatic few months. In May, it was confirmed that she and Eamonn Holmes had split after 14 years of marriage.

And this week, Ruth revealed to fans that she has been battling with “the lurgy”. Fortunately, she appears to be on the mend now.

Ruth Langsford issues health update on Instagram

On Wednesday (October 9) Ruth took to her Instagram Story to share a video of her walking her dog Maggie. In the caption, she shared a health update with her loyal legion of fans.

Revealing she has not been feeling too well, Ruth wrote: “I’ve had a couple of days at home with the lurgy but feeling better today so I ventured out for a stroll with Maggie. Nice to get some fresh air.”

Ruth Langsford ‘not eaten much’ amid ‘lurgy’

Former This Morning star Ruth followed up the post with a second video, where she revealed she hadn’t eaten much “for a couple of days”.

Alongside a video of her sausage, chips and peas dinner, Ruth penned: “Haven’t eaten much for a couple of days so I’ve gone old school dinner! SO hungry!”

In a second video, she added: “Bisto instant gravy granules… delicious!! Took me back to school dinners.”

Ruth and Eamonn split

After tying the knot in 2010, Eamonn and Ruth announced their divorce in May after 14 years of marriage. They share a son, Jack, together.

The split seemingly came as a shock to the public as the pair had worked closely with one another for many years. However, things started to turn sour when Eamonn reportedly formed a new relationship after their separation.

While not confirmed by anyone, Eamonn, 64, is said to already be dating counsellor Katie Alexander, 42. The pair reportedly met on social media in 2015 and have already been on a luxury cruise holiday together.
