Tulisa set for shock I’m A Celebrity return after distancing herself from the show

The Mirror can reveal that despite being the third campmate to be sent home from ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Tulisa Contostavlos will make a brief return

Tulisa Contostavlos is set to make a final I’m a Celebrity appearance despite fleeing Australia, the Mirror can reveal.

The star has agreed to still feature on the Coming Out show which charts what happens to the campmates after they come out of the jungle. ITV bosses are thought to have discussed with Tulisa’s camp the prospect of using the footage of her leaving the camp and return to the hotel, and were given the green-light.

It’s not known if they will acknowledge Tulisa saying she was left “overwhelmed” and suffering with her mental health in the wake of leaving the jungle or not. But a source confirmed: “She will definitely feature on the show which is brilliant as she was such a loved campmate.”

Camera crews followed Tulisa after meeting best friend Michelle McKenna on the bridge after leaving camp. They would have filmed her in the car to the JW Marriott Hotel, as well as arriving into the foyer to meet Dean McCullough and Jane Moore. The cameras would have also filmed her talking to the camera in her hotel room, as well as undergoing publicity duties. In her case, she was interviewed by Lorraine.

But the following day she sparked concern after not appearing on the I’m a Celeb spin-off show Unpacked, as well as the hotel reunion with campmate Melvin Odoom. The N-Dubz singer and former X Factor judge, 36, later told how she felt “overwhelmed” by her jungle stint.

She said: “I’ve been out of the spotlight for a long time and I’m still trying to overcome those things, I’ve got my demons. I need a little time to process it and get right with my thoughts. I’ve just felt overwhelmed. I’m an introvert. I’ve been in the jungle with people I’d only just met for two-and-a-half weeks straight and then I’ve come out and I’ve received loads and loads of attention.

“Thank you to ITV and I’m a Celeb for being understanding. Mental health is really important and I’m grateful for the love and support I’ve had.” News of her Coming Out appearance, which airs on December 13, comes as sources confirmed she had left Australia and looked set to miss the final.

All campmates are present for the moment that the winner is crowned King or Queen of the Jungle. A source said: “There is no bad blood at Tulisa not being there whatsoever.” Yesterday the singer also hit back saying she had “no issue” with best pal Michelle, or Daniel Johnson, who came to Australia to support her.

Her comments were in response to a newspaper report that claimed she had argued with Michelle over the content ofher social media posts, which her friend had access to while she was in the jungle. She said on Instagram : “Absolutely no issue with my sis’s posts…haven’t argued with my best mate in over 10 years. We literally don’t have arguments, they don’t exist in our world. Only love. Same with my bro. That’s what makes us so strong & my soul fam so special to me. Say what u want about me, but leave my Shelly & Dan alone pls x.”

Speaking to the Mirror, a spokesperson for Tulisa said: “There has been absolutely no fall out between Tulisa and her best friend Michelle. They haven’t argued once since Tulisa left the jungle. Michelle in fact travelled back to London with Tulisa. This story has been completely fabricated and wasn’t even sent to Tulisa’s team for a chance to comment prior to publication. The decision for Tulisa to return home to the UK was agreed to by the production for welfare reasons.”
