Mark Wright’s ex Lauren Goodger is reportedly devastated after the former TOWIE star revealed he is expecting his first child with wife Michelle Keegan.

Mark and actress Michelle, both 37, announced their pregnancy news on Sunday in a sweet joint Instagram upload. Alongside an image of Michelle cradling her baby bump while standing on the beach as Mark looks on, they wrote: “2025 is going to be a special one for us… [baby emoji. love heart emoji].”

Lauren and Mark had previously discussed dreams for the future during their decade-long romance. However, following their split, Mark grew close to actress Michelle and tied the knot nine years ago. Lauren previously described Mark as “the love of my life”.

Now, Lauren is said to be feeling “devastated” at Mark’s announcement. It’s also thought she is “anxious” that she may bump into the happy couple due to their close proximity.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “The news has been a huge blow to Lauren and she is devastated, especially as she’s not had a great Christmas, so it’s the icing on the cake. It’s hit her hard, Mark’s building his perfect family and she’s being left behind.”

The insider also touched on how Lauren and Mark were childhood sweethearts and claimed “in an ideal world she would have reunited with him”. They went on: “Plus Michelle and Mark live close by, so she is super anxious that she will bump into them at some point which will be horrific for her.”

In a bombshell interview recently, former The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren made several poignant admissions while speaking with dating expert Paul C Brunson on his We Need to Talk podcast. She shared how their separation 12 years ago “broke” her and left her feeling like she was “never going to love anyone else”.

“I never ever thought I was going to love anyone else,” she candidly revealed. “I was with him for 12 years on and off. It wasn’t a smooth sailing relationship. We broke up a few months here, got back together, but we grew up together. We grew up. He was the love of my life. We wouldn’t have stayed together for that long if he didn’t have this mutual feeling for me.”

Lauren currently has one child, Larose, with her ex-partner Charles Drury. She tragically lost her daughter Lorena mere minutes post-birth due to her umbilical cord being wrapped around her neck, leaving the star still grappling with grief. In July, she opened up to Closer, revealing: “People said time would be a healer but it’s the opposite. It’s harder now because reality has set in. My brain is only just understanding that I’ve lost my baby whereas at the beginning I was on autopilot.” And she admitted seeing Larose play solo has been particularly tough for her, adding: “When I watch Larose playing alone in the garden, that’s when it hurts the most- Lorena should be there with her.”
