Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter reveals feud with Denise Welch as co-stars ‘didn’t talk’
Loose Women panellists Janet Street-Porter and Denise Welch hinted at a past feud on Tuesday’s show
Janet Street-Porter and Denise Welch revealed they “didn’t speak” in the past as the Loose Women panellists addressed their friendship.
On Tuesday’s show, host Kaye Adams, Janet, Denise and Brenda Edwards asked: “Should you stay in touch with ex-colleagues?”
Janet opened up on her experience as a boss in the workplace before referring to her Loose Women co-stars as her friends.
“Actually, Denise is talking to me, she never used to,” Janet quipped as Denise replied: “I agree with you but there’s a reason for that. There have been big changes.”
Kaye gasped as Brenda looked horrified by the revelation.

Brenda told the Loose Women panellists that she saw them all as her friends: “All of you I’ve got your phone numbers and I talk to you individually.”
The presenters all agreed they were each other’s friends.
Denise then asked Janet if they were “friends” as the latter exclaimed: “You are my friend! Don’t start being neuroutic, Denise. Don’t mess it up!”
Janet continued: “If I’m honest, when I’ve been in a work situation where I’ve been the boss, you can’t be pally, you can’t have a close friend among the workforce because the other 99 percent will hate your guts and that person’s life will be made a misery in a lot of work situations.”
