Katie was forced to have another kitten put down just five months after bringing it home

KATIE Price has been slammed by an animal charity after buying a new £800 Sphynx kitten.

The 46-year-old has been branded a “serial animal killer” for her “track record of animal deaths” after showing off the latest addition to her family.

It comes after former glamour model Katie had seven pets die in just six years.

Charity People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) insists there needs to be an injunction stopping the mum-of-five from owning pets.

Founder Ingrid Newkirk told The Sun: “If there was a way to file an injunction to stop this serial animal killer, PETA would do so, as this woman doesn’t care about the lives she wastes or listen to vital advice and is still treating live animals like stuffed toys: as disposable.

“If William Hill took totally tasteless bets, the odds would favour those betting on how little time this kitten has on Earth, given the hideous track record of animal deaths in Price’s custody. No one could call it ‘care’.”

PETA previoulsy offered Katie £5,000 to stop buying pets – and Ingrid says the offer still stands.

She continued: “Shame on Price and the greedy breeders who keep selling or “gifting” animals to her as promotions.

“PETA’s financial offer – of £5,000 if she agrees never to acquire any more animals – still stands, and we implore her to take us up on it.”

Yesterday Katie revealed she’d bought a £800 Shpynx kitten called Daisy.

Katie’s troubled history with pets began in 2017 when one of her horses broke free from its field. It was run over on the A24.

She has also lost three dogs to road traffic collisions and another – her daughter Princess’ puppy Rolo – suffocated.

Katie Price leaves fans concerned as they spot worrying detail about her new face
Several years ago, Katie claimed the family’s pet chameleon, called Marvin, died from a broken heart after her eldest children – Princess and Junior – moved in with their dad, Peter Andre.

In her most recent autobiography Katie confessed she was forced to have another Sphynx kitten put down just five months after bringing it home.

Writing about Frog, she said: “[He] is so naughty though, he got in the bath with me last night.

“I probably shouldn’t say that. I’m sure people will tell me off for that, won’t they, Frog?

“He’s just come to sit on my shoulder, which is one of his favourite spots.”

Katie detailed Frog’s close bond with her boyfriend JJ Slater, before continuing: “A few weeks after writing this chapter, we noticed that Frog stopped jumping on the side of the kitchen.

“Then he couldn’t jump on the sofa. Then he couldn’t jump up on the bed. There was something wrong with him so I took him to the vets.

“He had a neurological disease. There was absolutely nothing I could do.

“Within days it had spread through his body right to the point that he couldn’t even go to the toilet on his own. So I cuddled him in my arms and he had to be put to sleep. He was only five months old.”
