Laura Woods forced to apologise after Tyson Fury makes X-rated claim about Oleksandr Usyk live on TNT Sports
Tyson Fury swore live on air last night as he looked ahead to his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk – and it prompted host Laura Woods to apologise for his language.
Fury was beaten for the first time in his professional boxing career when he faced Ukrainian Usyk back in May in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
On that occasion, Usyk emerged victorious following a split judges’ decision, with two scoring the bout 115-112 and 114-113 in Usyk’s favour as he claimed victory, while another scored 114-113 to Fury.
In winning, Usyk became the first man since Lennox Lewis to hold all the belts in the heavyweight division, though he has subsequently relinquished the IBF title.
A rematch has been arranged, with Fury and Usyk to clash once more in Riyadh, this time on December 21.
Fury’s professional boxing record now stands at 34 wins, one draw and a defeat from 36 fights.
Out of Fury’s 34 victories, 24 have been by knockout and 10 by decision, with the draw being the first clash he had against Deontay Wilder back in December 2018.
Usyk meanwhile is undefeated in all 22 of his fights, 14 of which have been by knockout and the other eight by decision.

As he previewed the fight, Fury was asked about his upcoming rematch against Usyk, and the 36-year-old described how he is going to approach the fight.
But he rounded off his answer with an expletive, which prompted an apology from TNT Sports host Woods.
He said: “I’ve always been a bad man my whole life and I’m still one today at nearly 40 years old. Few years off 40, but still, I like to say that, it sounds more.
“However, I’m going to go in there with destroy mode. Last time I went to box him and I was being cautious.
“I was boxing the head right off him, let’s talk facts. Anyone can get caught as we’ve seen in a lot of these heavyweight fights.
“But this time I’m not going for a points decision. I’m going to knock a motherf***er out. I’m not even sure if you can say that on TNT.”
Woods then said: “It might be past the watershed, but I probably do have to apologise for a couple of people watching if you’re offended by that.
“It is Tyson Fury though, so you might get a bit of that anyway.”
Fury then issued an apology himself, albeit with a caveat, saying: “I’ll apologise for my behaviour. If you don’t like it, change the channel!”

Tyson Fury suspended from boxing days after Oleksandr Usyk defeat
Fury was beaten by Usyk in their undisputed heavyweight title fight in Saudi Arabia.
It has emerged that Tyson Fury was suspended from boxing immediately after his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in their undisputed heavyweight title fight.
Fury suffered the first defeat of his professional career on Saturday night as Usyk claimed a split decision win over the ‘Gypsy King’ in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Fury lost his WBC heavyweight world title to Usyk, who is now the first undisputed heavyweight champion in more than two decades.
Usyk appeared to break Fury’s nose in round eight with a superb punch that rocked the British fighter.
Fury struggled to recover and was forced to take a standing count in round nine after somehow remaining on his feet following a ferocious barrage of punches from Usyk.
Fury eventually recovered his senses and reached the final bell but lost on a split decision, with two judges scoring in favour of Usyk compared to one for Fury.
Despite emerging victorious, Usyk was handed a 14-day medical suspension by the United Arab Emirates Commission following the fight.
He has been ruled out of action until June 2 following a post-fight medical exam, with Fury’s promoter Frank Warren revealing the Ukrainian had suffered an impacted tooth implant during the bout.
The Sun has now reported that Fury has also been hit with a medical suspension, albeit a shorter one than Usyk.
Fury, who boxed under a Nevada licence, was handed a week-long suspension following his medical exam, meaning he is free to fight again from Saturday.
Meanwhile, it is claimed the undercard fights ‘took place under the auspices of the British Boxing Board of Control’ which is said to have ‘have no knowledge of Usyk’s brief ban’ or the ‘decision to suspend Fury’, which only came to light on Friday.

Fury is yet to confirm his next move but could trigger a rematch clause, with October touted as a potential date for a second fight with Usyk.
Speaking in his post-fight press conference, Fury said: “I’m fresh out of the fight, as you can see from my face I’m a bit busted up. And he’s gone to hospital with a broken jaw and he’s busted too.
“So we’ve punched the s*** out of each other for 12 rounds there. I’m going to go home, eat some food, drink some beers, have some family time, walk the dog, go to the tip.
“And me and Frank will talk about what’s going to happen in the future.”
