“It is a truly beautiful spot with a sundial above the church door that is nearly 1,000 years old. Magical places like this put everything else into perspective,” the statement then concluded.

Tom’s relationship history

Before meeting Alice, Tom had been married to wife Sara. They share two children – Lola, 17, and Freddy, 14.

Tom moved out of the family home in 2018 and, as a result, his divorce from Sara was finalised in 2022. She then spoke of the pain of their divorce – but also suggested the two are on good terms.

“Divorce is horrible. The end of a relationship with someone you love is hard. It’s painful to think, how much of this is my fault? Have I messed up my life? It was very dark,” Sara said.

She then added: “Of course you feel guilty forever for hurting your kids, that’s never going to go away and I would rather we had stayed together as a family. But, fortunately, I’ve arrived at the conclusion that these things just happen.

“My marriage was a happy one until it wasn’t and I’ll always think of it in very affectionate terms,” she also said.
