ROY KEANE’S EPIC RESPONSE: Reacts to Tyson Fury’s Shocking 3-Month Silence with Wife Paris.K

Roy Keane gives the most Roy Keane response to Tyson Fury not speaking to wife Paris for three months

Keane has given his take on Fury’s surprise claim about his wife.

Roy Keane has given a typically dry response to Tyson Fury’s claim to have not spoken with his wife Paris for three months ahead of his upcoming fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury, 36, and Usyk, 37, will meet in the ring again on Saturday night in a hugely anticipated world title fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Usyk beat Fury via split decision in May to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, inflicting the first ever professional defeat on the ‘Gypsy King’ in the process.

Speaking in the build-up to their rematch, Fury claimed to have had no contact with his wife for several months to focus completely on his training camp.

“I’ve not spoken to Paris for three months,” Fury told TNT Sports.

“Not a word, not spoke to anyone, not been on my phone, I’ve been away from it all. I just wanted to give myself the best opportunity I can.

“I don’t want to keep dividing modes from beast mode, to dad mode, wife mode, I’ve not spoken to anybody on the phone, that’s it. I’ve just been in the camp the whole time.”

Speaking on the latest episode of The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, former Manchester United captain Keane gave his own hilarious take on Fury’s claims.

“That’s the norm in my house,” joked Keane.

“What’s the big deal with that! He’s in a training camp.

“If he wins the fight then you will say ‘he has done everything right’. If he loses you would say ‘what was the point not speaking to your family’.”

Former Arsenal star Ian Wright backed up Keane, adding: “You don’t want the mentality to be cracked. When you are at the level they are at you can’t have anything that brings in a weakness. He doesn’t want nothing that is going to make his mentality, which is ‘I have to win’, weaker.”

Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher had his own theory about the rematch and Fury’s mental state after losing his ‘0’.

“You do 12 week camps, but I don’t think they would normally be away for 12 weeks,” said Carragher.

“I think the fact that he has lost the first fight he has just thought nothing is [going to distract him].”

Paris recently spoken out on the agreement between her and Fury, confirming there had been no contact between them in recent months.

“People don’t see the sacrifices made,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram story on Wednesday.

“I’ve let him solely concentrate on this fight. It seems like he’s been gone forever, especially with no contact.

“But if it’s what he needs.”
