The View host, Whoopi Goldberg, stunned as Sara Haines openly shares about her family’s ‘raunchy’ activities during their vacation at Hilton Head

Goldberg admitted that she doesn’t know what cornhole is.

Sara Haines wasted no time probing Whoopi Goldberg’s prowess on lawn games,

As she stunned The View moderator by simply saying the title of her beloved cornhole on the show’s Tuesday season 28 premiere.

Haines filled her fellow panelists in on how she spent her month-long summer hiatus, and brought up cornhole while reminiscing about a Hilton Head vacation with her family.

“My mom is turning 80 in October, so we went as a family together. My parents, siblings, their partners, the kids,” Haines said.

“When we get together, it’s the whole reason I wanted to have a family was because my original family was so blissful, that I thought, ‘How do we make this last forever?’ By just procreating, and that’s what we did.”

She then told her cohosts “it was a lot of cornhole” during their downtime, prompting Goldberg to physically recoil in shock over Haines’ decision to use the word shortly after saying “procreating.”

Haines reiterated that her family had a “cornhole tournament for days,” leading Goldberg to urge her to “explain cornhole” — and quickly.

“I know cornhole, but it just sounded a little sexual,” Alyssa Farah Griffin said, confirming what everyone else was thinking.

“It’s bean bags into wood with a hole, and you can really throw down with all ages of people. My dad is 82 and he beats us every time,” Haines continued. Goldberg, still too stunned to speak, attempted to throw the show to commercial while shifting both her face and her body in her seat.

Sensing Goldberg’s discomfort, Haines leaned over and quipped, “Not that cornhole,” before Goldberg looked toward the camera and said, “We’re going to be right back. Oh my God, cornhole!”

The exchange happened atop The View’s brand new set, which also debuted as part of the show’s season 28 premiere. Goldberg welcomed the audience back to the show at the start of the live broadcast by standing on a large platform off to the side of the studio, holding a champagne glass in the air as she toasted to new episodes ahead.

Amid the show’s break throughout August, its cohosts made headlines on their own — including Griffin speculating on social media about how Taylor Swift could assist Kamala Harris in winning the election, while Ana Navarro hosted the second night of the Democratic National Convention in August, after she harshly criticized conservative pundit Ann Coulter for mocking Walz’s son, who has a learning disorder, for his heartwarming enthusiasm in supporting his dad at the Chicago event.

Sara Haines continued to share her love for cornhole on the latest episode of The View, despite Whoopi Goldberg’s initial shock. Haines reminisced about her family vacation on Hilton Head Island, where they had a month-long getaway filled with competitive cornhole tournaments. The game, which involves tossing bean bags into a hole on a wooden board, proved to be a hit with all ages, as Haines revealed that even her 82-year-old father was a reigning champion.Goldberg’s initial discomfort with the term “cornhole” led to a hilarious exchange on the show, with cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin chiming in to confirm that the game was indeed innocent fun. Haines, ever the jokester, assured Goldberg that she was referring to the family-friendly version of cornhole, not anything inappropriate. The segment ended with Goldberg comically trying to transition to a commercial break, still in disbelief over the unexpected turn in conversation. As The View kicked off its 28th season with a new set and fresh episodes, the hosts wasted no time making headlines outside of the show.
