Coleen Rooney’s telling four-word message to Danny Jones as he wins I’m A Celebrity
I’m A Celebrity 2024 final runner-up Coleen Rooney had a very supportive message for her co-star Danny Jones, as she missed out on the crowned after his win on the ITV series
Coleen Rooney had little to say about Danny Jones’ I’m A Celebrity win on Sunday night, but what she did say was rather telling.
The campmate made it pretty clear she wasn’t bitter about the McFly star storming to victory over her, costing her the crown. Moments before the result she’d said she’d love to go all the way to make her kids proud of her.
She told husband Wayne Rooney: “It’s my turn now”, ready to take the spotlight. But with Danny announced as the winner by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, Coleen just missed out despite fans hoping she would win.
But she was clearly thrilled for Danny, sharing a four-word message to him that proved she was pretty happy to be second place to the singer. As Danny continued his TV show winning streak, after winning The Masked Singer UK and with his act winning on The Voice UK this year, he burst into tears as he got handed the title King of the Jungle.
Coleen was happy for him, telling Ant and Dec she was amazed with how far she’d come on the show and that runner-up was good for her. She said: “I didn’t expect to get this far! Danny truly deserves it, I was happy to share the camp with everyone.”

Danny was emotional as he was announced the winner and said: “It feels amazing, I can’t even talk.” He went on to thank fans for their support and joked it felt nice to ‘be liked’. He said: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, it’s a lovely feeling to be liked. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so much.”
Before the winner was announced, Danny and Coleen also spoke about their three-week experience. Danny said about his time: “This is totally insane. I’ve learned so much about myself, and that’s because the camp mates were unbelievable. They made it so easy for us to get through the hard times. I’ve had some of the hardest times I’ve ever had, some of the highest highs, and just tried to have fun along the way. It was way harder, harder than what it comes across on TV, but it’s real in there. You’re hungry, you’re tired, you’re lethargic.”

Coleen said it was a ‘strange experience’ and said of her time in the jungle: “It gave me time to think about me, my strengths and weaknesses.” She added it was ‘her turn’ for her kids to be proud of her after they spent so long proud of their footballer dad.
