The identity of the mystery man that everyone swore was Prince Harry at Kate’s Christmas Eve carol concert has been revealed.
Millions spotted RAF reservist Sgt Chris Dykes, 37, in a trailer for the service. Viewers noticed the uncanny resemblance between him and the King’s son. Chris was seen clad in his ceremonial uniform, with many saying he was a dead ringer for Harry, even sporting the same ginger beard for the “Together at Christmas” concert.
The proud mother of the Prince Harry look-a-like says his phone “hasn’t stopped ringing” after being seen in a trailer for the Princess of Wales’ Christmas Eve carol concert.

His pleased mum, Janet Wyatt-Sugg, 68, told MailOnline: “To be honest ever since he grew his ginger beard a year or so ago, I’ve thought he looked a lot like Prince Harry, and especially when he is in uniform. He’s ginger and I’m a ginger and as a child, he was in the RAF cadets when he was younger and then three years ago, he got into the reserves, and he was so happy.
“Then he grew the beard and one day when he was in uniform, I said:’ Gosh, you look a lot like Prince Harry’ and never thought anything of it until we saw the trailer and now all his friends and the rest of the unit are calling him Harry. His phone hasn’t stopped ringing since he was on the telly and I was joking with him he should see if he can get a bit of work as a Prince Harry look-a-like.”
Chris works moving luxury cars and lives in Monmouth, south Wales. He is also a member of the RAF’s 622 Volunteer Gliding Squad, which is based at Upavon near Pewsey in Wiltshire, reports the MailOnline. Their motto is Propter, Praemium Patienta (Patient for the sake of Reward) and was formed 80 years ago. It consists of volunteers and provides training for gliders in the Grob G104A aircraft, which is known as a Viking T1. After winning the Squadron Cup this year, his commander asked if he would like to go to the service to represent the squadron.
His mum explained her shock when she saw that the media had picked up the story after agreeing that he looked incredibly similar to the prince. She said she always thought he looked like Harry, but that the resemblance became even more uncanny thanks to the beard and uniform.
Kate hosted the festive event earlier this month and invited 1,600 people to the celebration. Her annual Together At Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey followed her difficult year of health battles and preventative chemotherapy treatment.
She was joined by her husband Prince William as well as their three children – George, Charlotte and Louis. The Princess has been slowly returning to royal duties and made sure to carry on her Christmas tradition. Ahead of the concert airing on TV, a trailer showed a doppelganger of Prince Harry.
