After a grueling 15-year career, Tyson Fury finally faces the one man who handed him his first defeat: the Ukrainian powerhouse Oleksandr Usyk. Now, the ‘Gypsy King’ has the chance to reclaim the title that slipped through his fingers. But before the December 21st showdown, Fury isn’t pulling any punches—he’s sending a fierce warning to the undefeated Usyk, telling him to brace for the storm of his wrath. With this warning, Fury has certainly added some spice to the matchup, making it feel like the old Fury is back in action.

When Usyk knocked out Fury, it sent shockwaves through the boxing world, as fans had never seen him lose before. Now, ahead of their rematch, it seems Fury is already trying to play mind games with Usyk. As they prepare to face off again, on Instagram, ‘The Gypsy King’ said Usyk missed his chance to finish him off and warns him to brace for the storm that’s coming.

In his words, “U about a half feel the wrath of the Gypsy King. Should of finished me when u had the chance. You had your shot but couldn’t finish the job! Mistake! Now your about to feel the wrath of a menace.”

He not only mocked the Ukrainian boxer but also took aim at his promoter and his team stating that on December 21, he will prove himself and reclaim the heavyweight title. Fury added that he wants to become a three-time heavyweight champion, and seems he is using his bold words to hype up the match and get into his opponent’s head.

Tyson Fury Says Deontay Wilder Was a Tougher Opponent Than Oleksandr Usyk

While many believe Usyk would pose the toughest challenge of Fury’s career, the ‘Gypsy King’ has named a different opponent instead. He recently brushed aside Usyk’s threat, declaring Wilder as the hardest opponent he’s ever faced. Speaking on Undisputed, Fury recalled that when he fought Wilder, the American was at his peak—a knockout artist known for his explosive power.

Fury stressed that one mistake could lead to defeat at any moment, whether in the first round or the twelfth, reinforcing Wilder’s claim to being his toughest challenger. In his words, “I’m gonna have to say Wilder (as a toughest opponent). Given that when I fought Wilder, he was in his prime; he was the man to beat, and he was a dynamite puncher.”

Wilder and Fury are both on the decline in their careers. If Fury reclaims his title and Wilder makes a comeback, it will be interesting to see if they meet in the ring again. Fans would love to watch them fight for a redemption story.
