Tyson Fury’s cousin gives honest view on dad John and their relationship as he’s sacked from corner for Usyk fight
John Fury won’t be in Tyson Fury’s corner for his fight against Oleksandr Usyk.
Tyson Fury’s cousin has given his honest view on John Fury after he was sacked from the star boxer’s corner for his fight against Oleksandr Usyk.
‘Big’ John won’t be in his son’s corner for his rematch against Usyk on Saturday.
That’s according to head coach SugarHill Steward, who failed to mention the 59-year-old when listing Tyson’s corner.
“Just myself [will be in the corner], Andy Lee and the cutman,” Steward said. “Pretty much that’s it.”

Team Fury faced criticism about the chaotic nature of the fighter’s corner in his first showdown against Usyk, with John and both coaches trying to give him instructions all at one.
Tyson’s cousin, Walter, shared an insight into the dynamic between ‘The Gypsy King’ and John in wake of the first encounter earlier this year.
Asked about the influence of Tyson’s father in his corner, Walter replied: “I’ve got no comment on that… that’s between him and his dad. It’s none of my business do you know what I mean but listen it’s his father at the end. People will give him a lot of stick. As you know, they love a Fury don’t they…. deep down they hate us do you know what I mean.”
He added: “They can do what they want. It’s not going to make Tyson any different. I’m sure he doesn’t listen to all the comments and all that. Else not it will play with your mind all together wouldn’t it.”

Fury has streamlined his entourage ahead of running it back with Usyk and revealed that he hasn’t spoken to wife Paris in ‘three months’.
She responded with a post detailing the sacrifice her husband has made in his career.
