Oleksandr Usyk named the best fighter in the world ahead of his rematch against Tyson Fury.

Oleksandr Usyk snubbed Tyson Fury and himself when asked to name the best fighter in the world.

Usyk puts his world heavyweight titles on the line in Saturday’s rematch against Fury, having won their first meeting last May.

Both fighters made their ‘Grand Arrivals’ on Tuesday ahead of their championship clash in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Usyk spoke to the media whilst officially checking in for the blockbuster rematch, including a sit-down with Ade Oladipo for DAZN.

During the interview, the Ukrainian was asked about his pound-for-pound ambitions to which he put Terence Crawford at No.1 and hilariously ranked himself No.17.

“I think Terence Crawford is the number one fighter pound-for-pound,” he stated.

Crawford, 37, is unbeaten in 41 professional fights and has reigned as undisputed world champion at light-welterweight and welterweight.

In his last outing, he claimed the WBA light-middleweight world title after beating Israil Madrimov to become a four-weight world champion, having also won a world title at lightweight.

Usyk also touched on his physique for his fight against Fury, saying he feels ‘really good’ at the weight – revealing a weight of 222lbs, which is slightly lighter than what he weighed for the summer bout.

“I feel really good at my weight at 222 lbs,” he explained. “I don’t feel too heavy, I don’t feel too light. I feel perfect.”

He also said he has a ‘few secrets’ in store for this weekend.

“My fans can expect something similar again, but we may switch a few things up a little bit,” he added. “My team and I have a few secrets for Saturday.

“This is a big opportunity for me, for my country, and for the young people that look up to me and Tyson. This is history! I want people 15 years later to remember when I fought and beat Tyson Fury twice in Riyadh.”
