Logan Paul doesn’t believe that his brother Jake will beat Mike Tyson when the two throw down in the squared circle next month.

YouTuber-turned-pugilist Jake, 27, has enjoyed a stellar pro-boxing career since turning pro four years ago against fellow content creator AnEsonGib, going on to beat a who’s who of former UFC stars like Ben Askren, Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and most recently, bare-knuckle boxer Mike Perry.

And with a combined record of 10-1 in the ring, the ‘Problem Child’ has got boxing fans talking about just how far he can go in the sport. The only blemish on his record thus far came in the form of a split-decision loss to Tommy Fury last February, but Paul has bounced back with venom – picking up another four wins since.

However, his toughest test to date comes in the form of former knockout specialist Tyson on November 15, with the two meeting in a Netflix extravaganza at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Despite having not fought professionally since his 2005 loss to Kevin McBride, ‘Iron’ Mike is chomping at the bit to make his grand return to the ring at the age of 58.

And while opinion is divided as to whether Tyson will still be able to hang with the new generation, Jake’s brother Logan has inadvertently made his stance on the bout’s victor clear. Sitting down on Jake’s YouTube channel back in June, the two brothers endured an anxiety-fuelled lie detector test while asking each other personal questions.

After being probed by Jake on the ‘diss-track’ era of YouTube and whether he believes his brother would beat long-time rival KSI in a scrap, the topic of conversation turned to the upcoming bout between the youngster and Tyson. Jake asked: “Do you believe that I will actually beat Mike Tyson?” with Logan wide-eyed before nodding and saying yes.

However, when the lights turned red and a buzzer sounded to indicate a falsehood, Jake laughed: “What the f***?” with a nervous smile on his face, before Logan flipped the question. Jake responded: “Yeah, I’m not hooked up to the lie detector,” before Logan added: “Well f***ing hook his a** up.”

And while Jake was confident in his abilities without the lie detector, when he was finally hooked up and asked the same question the lights turned red and that irking buzzer went off again. Jake explained: “I’m nervous. I don’t know – it’s going to be tough,” while Logan jabbed: “It’s a red light brother, you lying?”

Starting to sweat Jake said: “It’s hot,” before Logan looked deadpan at him, saying: “It’s not hot at all, what are you talking about?”. Logan has also enjoyed a budding boxing career of his own since his first amateur fight with rival-turned-business partner KSI back in 2018 which ended in a draw.

The two met once more at professional level the very next year, with KSI having his hand raised by split decision before Logan went toe-to-toe with a 50-0 Floyd Mayweather Jr in an exhibition bout two years later. The 29-year-old went eight rounds with the points sniper at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, with the fight ending without a winner or a loser as it was unscored.

His last fight came against Dillon Danis in Manchester last October, with a litany of bad blood between the two ahead of the action. Danis was up to his trolling ways on social media, targeting Paul’s fiancé Nina Agdal, while Logan remained calm, cool and collected for the most part.

There were fireworks when the two finally met in the squared circle, with Logan outscoring Danis for the full six rounds before the former Bellator fighter and BJJ specialist found himself disqualified for trying to choke Paul out with a poorly executed guillotine. Danis still tried to go at it with Logan after the fight had been waved off, resulting in a full-scale brawl erupting as both fighters’ teams and security attempted to cool the situation.

His brother has fought more regularly and now faces a huge test in a blockbuster fight with the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’. Tyson has already whet the appetite by uploading some footage of him ferociously hitting the pads and body bag, which has led to fans warning Paul he still has time to pull out of the fight.
