I’m A Celebrity viewers have fumed at a new concept being introduced right before the final, saying it has ruined the series.
Fans of the ITV series have been enjoying the show so far, yet issued a huge complaint during Thursday’s episode. Danny, Maura, Coleen and Oti were tasked with taking on another trial in the hopes of securing a ticket for the Celebrity Cyclone. Oti stunned hosts Ant and Dec with her efforts as she secured the ticket.
It also granted her immunity from the next two eliminations. However, viewers were not impressed with the new format as they felt “rigged” that their choice had been taken away. Typically, viewers get to decide who takes part in Celebrity Cyclone by voting for who they want to keep in the show.
Taking to X, one said: “So they can win cyclone and there’s no vote for which two go??? It’s feeling rigged.” Another added: “I think we’re all confused.” Someone else commented: “I also don’t like how we don’t get to chose who’s in the cyclone?? Like it’s normally who we all voted for and wanted there. And I know it’s a good camp, just seems a bit c**p.”

A fourth begged: “Can they please go back to the original format of public vote it’s so much better.” One viewer shared: “Trying to keep the series fresh by introducing the golden ticket for the cyclone and immunity has actually spoilt the series for me this year… and it was so good before this!”
Another urged: “Cyclone should be down to public vote.” Thanks to the new concept, Oti Mabuse has been granted immunity from the next two public votes. The 34-year-old former Strictly Come Dancing star and Dancing on Ice judge was given the exemption after being covered in jungle slime and fish guts in the latest jungle challenge, which saw her go head-to-head with campmates Danny Jones, Coleen Rooney and Maura Higgins.
Ant and Dec kicked off the ‘Battle Blocks’ where the celebrities were told that whoever won the trial and pressed the golden buzzer would be the winner of the Ticket to Cyclone. Ant joked: “Even though you press the golden buzzer that doesn’t mean you’re through to the live shows of Britain’s Got Talent, that’s a different show, don’t get confused.”
Oti ended up bursting out of her game play area and ran to press the golden buzzer, as golden confetti burst into the air and she jumped up and down celebrating. Impressed, Dec yelled: “Oti! That was incredible!” as Ant said: “Absolutely brilliant.” The moment then came for Dec to hand Oti the coveted golden ticket. Not only does this guarantee her a place in the Celebrity Cyclone, she is also immune from the next two public vote offs. A very happy Oti grinned as she joked: “It feels amazing, I’ve got to wash my underwear more now!”
