Tulisa Contostavlos will be noticeably absent from the 2024 I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! final celebrations after leaving Australia early.
The 36-year-old singer was one of the ten original stars to enter the ITV jungle last month, jumping from a helicopter into the bushtucker trial action and meeting future finalists Danny Jones and Coleen Rooney. Love Island’s Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles later joined the team – with the latter also qualifying as a finalist after all the other stars were voted off.
Tulisa was the third star eliminated from the show after more than two weeks – following Loose Women’s Jane Moore and radio host Dean McCullough who were booted out the camp first and second respectively. And while Tulisa won praise from fans during her time in camp for her warm personality and fierce bravery in the face of trials, she has since revealed she was “overwhelmed” by the experience.
The final will see all the other stars of the 2024 season reunite to celebrate the man or woman crowned winner – but Tulisa is already back in the UK after fleeing Australia to get back home. The star herself – and some of those close to her – has already spoken out about her reason not to wait Down Under for the final.

Why is Tulisa Contostavlos not in the I’m A Celeb 2024 final?
While Tulisa was one of the original contestants of the 2024 season of I’m A Celeb, she also became one of the earliest stars to leave the jungle. After just over two weeks in the camp, Tulisa became the second star to exit the jungle.
Speaking to Ant and Dec after her time on the show, she said: “It’s just a whirlwind. It doesn’t feel real. I just think I’ll be so much more grateful for everything. It makes you appreciative. You don’t realise how good you’ve got it. It can be testing in here because you can feel like different versions of yourself.”
Eliminated celebrities then stay at a nearby 5 star hotel until the show is over and return to the camp to help celebrate the winner. But Tulisa quit Australia hours after her I’m A Celeb exit – and then raised eyebrows when she deleted all the content from the show that her team had shared online.

Why did Tulisa delete all her Instagram posts about I’m A Celeb?
Fans were concerned when Tulisa abruptly deleted all the social media posts relating to her time in the jungle that her team had been adding to her Instagram page while she was on the show. And eyebrows were raised even higher when it was noted that she follows all of her fellow campmates – with the exception of boxing icon Barry McGuigan, who was fifth to leave the show, however she has since followed the sporting icon.
Addressing the sudden disappearance of her content, Tulisa said in an online message to fans: “I’m just doing a little video to clear a couple things up. Just so you know, when I came out of the jungle, I felt fine first of all and then that evening my friends went to bed. I was on my Instagram trying to have a nice little scroll at some funny stuff. I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding in all the most positive way. But because it’s been a while for me I can get overwhelmed quite easily.”
She added: “And I just started to feel overwhelmed. I thought do you know what, I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill. This is all feeling just a little bit much at the moment. I’m just going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle. Then when the time is right and I’ve had a little time to process I’m going to make my own reels of all my best bits I really like.”
Before going into the jungle, Tulisa had revealed she was nervous about putting herself back in the public focus. She said in a pre-show interview: “I haven’t been thrust this much into the spotlight in a while and I have avoided it out of irrational fear. I will probably be the most emotional when I first go in. It will take me a while to settle in, but I know I will get past that.”

When did Tulisa get back to the UK?
After leaving the I’m A Celeb jungle, Tulisa joined her co-stars and their families and friends at the nearby luxury JW Marriott Hotel and Spa. Loose Women’s Jane Moore confirmed that she had been there briefly, telling The Sun: “Since leaving, I am spending my days hanging out with the other families and friends at the pool of our luxury hotel, along with the growing band of fellow evictees – Dean, Tulisa, before she left, and Melvin.”
By Thursday, reports suggested the Young Singer had already boarded a flight to return to the UK. And by Sunday, reports emerged stating she had landed and was back at her home near Manchester. Following speculation that Tulisa had fallen out with her friend, Michelle, who had been posting social media posts on her behalf while she was away from technology in the camp, a source hit back to stay this was simply not the case.
The source told The Sun: “Tulisa was pretty miffed and utterly baffled by the suggestion she had fallen out with Michelle – they are as close as ever. They have flown back to the UK together and have been laughing about all the speculation.
“The truth of the matter is that Tulisa was struggling with her mental health, which is what she told fans. She wanted to be back at home, with her close friends and home comforts, and after a meeting with ITV, it was agreed by all parties that this would be the best thing for her.”
