Alison Hammond has opened up about her impressive 11-stone weight loss, revealing she achieved it without using Ozempic.
The 49-year-old This Morning presenter decided to shed the pounds following the death of her mother, who had expressed concern over Alison’s pre-diabetic diagnosis.
At her heaviest, Alison weighed 28 stone, but she now credits her success to cutting out sweets, fatty foods, and working out with a personal trainer. She explained that weight-loss jabs weren’t for her, saying: “I think that, for people who need to use them, they’re a good thing – but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened.

Alison continued to Good Housekeeping UK : “My mum had type 2 diabetes and she was worried for me, so when I then found out that I was pre-diabetic, that was frightening.” Revealing the secret to her astounding weight loss, Alison said: “I thought, I have to be an adult about this. The sweets had to stop – and the fatty foods. Twice a week, I see my personal trainer and I have a couple of weights in my bedroom. I walk, I stretch and sometimes I do a bit of yoga.”
Alison previously disclosed that an embarrassing experience on a plane was another catalyst for her decision to shed the pounds. Speaking on This Morning, she said : “I was nearly 28 stone I’ll be honest with you and that is morbidly obese. And I used to buy an extra seat because I didn’t want to put anyone in a situation where I was touching them.” She recalled a particular incident, stating: “I was made to feel uncomfortable on one occasion when I was so close to someone’s seat and they asked to move but they ended up moving me into first class.

“It was embarrassing the whole thing and from that moment I just started buying two seats. I don’t do it anymore because I’ve lost a bit of timber but not everyone can afford to do that.” Alison also opened up about her personal battles with her size: “I was in a situation where I was morbidly obese. I had to lose weight because I was dying, I really was dying. People will still say I’m big but now I’m 17 stone rather than 28 stone and I’m comfortable with telling you my weight.”
She previously revealed her fitness routine which includes weightlifting and boxing. Her personal trainer, Lui Mancini, posted a video that Alison re-shared, showing her intense workout with kettlebells, medicine balls, and a punching bag. The star previously admitted she was “really dying” because of her weight, but after transforming her lifestyle, Alison now feels much happier with her figure and regularly receives praise from fans for her stunning appearance.
