TV presenters Ant and Dec are preparing a series of ‘Wagatha Christie’ jokes for Coleen Rooney’s appearance on I’m A Celebrity.

The pair plan to make light of her infamous feud with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, which escalated to court proceedings. One idea includes contributing money to a ‘swear jar’ each time the duo reference the WAGs’ libel trial. Coleen, 38, is this year’s most notable jungle campmate – the wife of former England captain Wayne Rooney, who is reportedly receiving a record £1.5million for her participation.

The show’s joke writers are also contemplating Cluedo-inspired tasks for the show’s return to ITV on Sunday, November 17. Insiders suggest Ant and Dec will frequently refer to Coleen’s social media post from five years ago, where she accused Jamie Vardy’s wife of leaking stories about her to the press.

She famously posted: “It’s… Rebekah Vardy’s account.” It’s anticipated that Ant and Dec will regularly use the punchline “It’s…” during skits introducing highlights. A show insider revealed: “Talks about scripts and trials are throwing up hilarious ideas, like a swear jar.”, reports the Daily Star.

“Another plan is having tasks based on a Cluedo-type idea with Coleen as the detective.” The libel dispute over Coleen’s social media accusation resulted in a loss for Rebekah, leaving her with a £3million legal bill, including her rival’s expenses. The two remain embroiled in High Court hearings over the costs, with Rebekah attempting to have some of the substantial bill dismissed as unreasonable.

Rebekah made her debut on the show in 2017, reportedly pocketing a cool £100,000. Joining Coleen in the jungle this year are said to be other celebs such as boxing icon Barry McGuigan, pop sensation Tulisa Contostavlos and Corrie’s Alan Halsall. Many fans have shared their confusion over Coleen’s particiaption as they claim she hardly needs to raise her profile.

However, sources close to Coleen put her real motive down to a unquenchable ruthless streak. They say Coleen couldn’t pass up the opportunity to wind up her biggest rival in front of an audience of millions. “I’m A Celebrity is a fantastic opportunity to wind Becky up,” a source close to Coleen said. “She has got a mischievous side to her. While she has been dignified with how she dealt with being dragged through a court by Becky, it is bound to come up and Coleen has always been honest about the situation,” they told the Mail.

ITV are yet to officially announce the programme’s line-up this year. However insiders at the channel say they ‘can’t believe they have got Coleen’ to sign on the dotted line. Amid Coleen’s excitement for joining the show, it has been claimed Rebekah has told pals she wants to return to the I’m A Celebrity jungle to shock her.

Rebekah reportedly told friends she thinks it’s “hilarious” that Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen is copying her. Becky, who is married to Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy, also shared a cryptic message as she finds herself back in the headlines. The WAG posted: “I take rumours as a compliment. The fact you’re bringing my name onto tables I don’t sit at shows your obsession. Stay bothered.”
