With the launch of this year’s I’m A Celeb just days away Ant McPartlin has officially touched down in Australia, however this series won’t be so easy for him.
Despite hosting the series since it first launched in 2002, this year’s filming will be tinged with sadness as Ant leaves behind his son after becoming a father for the first time back in May,
The presenter, 48, welcomed his first child Wilder with his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, already a mother of two, on May 14.
And Ant is reportedly feeling anxious about being so far away from his wife and six-month old baby as he prepares to spend the next few weeks down under.
A source told OK! Magazine: ‘Ant is feeling really emotional about being so far away from Anne-Marie and Wilder. It’s the longest he has left them for and it’s going to be so difficult.

They added: ‘Anne-Marie and Ant are going to stay in constant communication and FaceTime lots, but he is worried about the time difference. When he wakes up, Anne Marie will have put Wilder to bed, so, it’s tough to navigate.
‘Ant has made sure Anne Marie has a strong support system back home and he knows Wilder will be safe with his mum, he will just be missing them a lot.’
MailOnline have contacted Ant’s representatives for comment.
The baby is Ant’s first while Anne-Marie has two children, Poppy, and Daisy, from her previous marriage, with a source previously revealing the pair now feel like their family is ‘complete’.
While Anne-Marie and Wilder have remained at home, Ant’s co-host Dec has been joined in Australia with his wife Ali and their children Isla, six, and Jack, two, who Ant is also incredibly close to.
Back in September Ant gave a rare insight into life with his son Wilder as he told the Daily Star: ‘I’m really good, I’m really happy. There are lots of nappies and sleepless nights but it’s absolutely wonderful. I’m loving it. It’s been the best year.
Ant revealed he has been getting some ‘good advice’ from Dec, however his TV other half was not as convinced, as he joked: ‘I do share tips and things. They’re very bad. My tips are normally: give the baby to somebody else! That’s it.’
Meanwhile as the celebrities touch down in Australia in preparation for the series launch on Sunday, Ant and Dec couldn’t contain their excitement as they fell to the floor after casting their eyes on the jungle for the first time this year.

The I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! lineup has been officially unveiled by ITV (L-R Tulisa, Coleen Rooney, Barry McGuigan, Danny Jones, Melvin Odoom, Oti Mabuse, Alan Halsall, Jane Moore, GK Barry and Dean Mcullough)
The duo were overcome with shock in a dramatic Instagram video as they walked across the balcony and looked out into the trees.
As Dec fell to the floor, the pair burst into hysterics as they captioned the clip: ‘Us? Dramatic!? Never’ as the track What Dreams Are Made Of played in the background.
While rumours have swirled for months about the stars set to be jetting to Australia for a three-week stay in the rat-infested camp, first look snaps earlier this week gave fans a full glimpse at the lineup.
Leading the confirmed pack is Coleen Rooney, who has ditched her WAG glamour for the famous jungle get-up as this year’s highest-paid signing.
She will be joined by big names such as Tulisa Contostavlos, McFly star Danny Jones, and former Strictly dancer Oti Mabuse.
