Ben Shephard left James Martin and Cat Deeley blushing after making a rude comment during Thursday’s cooking segment on This Morning.

TV chef James, 52, was on the breakfast programme to show viewers how to rustle up delicious buffalo wings and loaded potato skins.

Cat, 48, and Ben, 49, were delighted to have him on the show as they tucked into the ‘finger-licking’ food, with James revealing he made enough for the whole production team.

However, it was Ben who made a hilarious tongue-in-cheek comment that caused Cat to cut him off.

As they devoured the loaded potato skins, which were topped off with a homemade barbecue sauce, Ben quipped: ‘Do you do massages in this sauce? Because I’m quite ready to be drizzled on.’

Shocked, Cat grimaced before laughing: ‘That is a different show’.

It comes less than a month after MasterChef star John Torode risked getting caught up in the Gregg Wallace furore after making a ‘disgustingly sexual’ comment towards Cat Deeley.

Last month, Gregg was forced to deny claims that he made inappropriate sexual comments to a female staffer.

It came as TV presenter Lisa Faulkner, who is married to John, claimed her husband’s co-star repeatedly told rude jokes ‘I didn’t want to hear’ on MasterChef.

Speaking on stage alongside her husband at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, she told how Gregg would tell crude gags to crew as the contestants were ‘chopping away’.

John turned to Lisa and said the show had ‘changed quite a lot really’ since she appeared on it 14 years ago.

Then, John got caught up in his own joke furore when plating up a dish of toad in the hole during a cooking segment of This Morning that left Cat grimacing.

John joked: ‘I never thought I’d say to Cat Deeley, “Here’s a little sausage for you darling”.”

Cat tapped him on the back and replied: ‘Oh I like it, thank you,’ before she turned to make a face at the camera.

Viewers took to social media to point out the unfortunate timing of John’s comment in the light of the scandal affecting his co-presenter.

‘Why is John Torode’s co-star the bald one getting in trouble for sexual innuendos when he said today live on ITV with Cat Deeley,’ the social media user wrote.

‘Make sure he is sacked as well.. women shouldn’t put up with these disgusting sexual comments any longer!’

Meanwhile, James Martin opened up on the unseen struggle he copes with while filming his ITV cooking show due to a health battle.

He has been a familiar face on screens for over 30 years, famously fronting Saturday Kitchen before going on to host his current show, James Martin’s Saturday Morning.

But while the show is a big success, James recently told how viewers are unaware of the hidden challenges he faces while making the popular programme.

The star recently joined Lose Women’s Kaye Adams on her BBC Radio Scotland show in which she told how she was ‘fascinated’ by James’ ability to cook and entertain his celebrity guests at the same time, likening the skill to ‘choreography.

However, James then admitted that it wasn’t as easy as it looks as his ‘severe’ dyslexia makes things ‘really difficult’, reports The Express.

Laughing in response to Kaye’s praise, James shared: ‘I’m watching you do your thing while I’m listening to music play and you’re like a conductor. I can’t do what you do and I certainly can’t when I’ve been on Loose Women with you as well.

‘I certainly admire anyone who’s able to do that.’

Detailing his on screen struggle, he went on: ‘Weirdly I can cook and talk at the same time but presenting I still find really difficult.

‘I’m severely dyslexic so reading anything off an autocue is really hard work, so if I’m allowed to cook and chat that’s where I feel at home.’

James has previously spoken of his dyslexia, revealing it didn’t get diagnosed until he was 30 after he struggled for many years.

On his show earlier this year, James revealed the secret way he overcame his struggles while filming the cooking programme.

Speaking to newsreader Lucrezia Millarini, he said: ‘Well, like you do the reading, I’m severely dyslexic. I have this amazing woman called Sam, Sam [on the] autocue, who puts stuff on bigger type for me so that I can properly read it.’
