Dave Portnoy is still talking about Kim Kardashian and The Roast of Tom Brady, now saying that the reality star pre-approved the jokes the football player said about her during the show.
The New York Post shared an article on X on Wednesday, May 8, saying that Tom’s “ruthless” joke about Kim and Kanye West during his roast “shocked” comedian Nikki Glaser. Dave reshared the tweet saying the Skims founder knew about the jokes before the show. Dave, who is the founder and owner of Barstool Sports, shared his thoughts, saying: “Anybody who doesn’t think Kim K approved that joke beforehand is dumb. There is a reason none of the comics knew she was going beforehand. Brady treated her with kid gloves.”
When Tom got on stage to perform his jokes during the roast on Sunday, May 5, he made one aimed at Kim and her ex, Kanye. “I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight,” he told audience members. “Not because of this but because her kids are at home with their dad.”

Other comedians made harsh jokes aimed at the reality star, and the crowd booed her when she got on stage. “Kardashian got booed like [NFL commissioner Roger] Goodell after the Pats won the superbowl,” Dave wrote on X about that, too. “Kevin Hart had to legit tell people to stop. I f—-g love it. She also sucked and read the teleprompter like a robot.”
“[Kardashian] gets an obsessive amount of hate online from ‘bro’ culture, so her team always knew there’d be a chance they’d be disruptive [at an event honoring an athlete],” a source told Page Six. “She took it all with grace.”
The outlet says that much of the disdain toward Kim comes from the Barstool Sports creator and his previous comments about her when there were rumors in July that the football player and Kim were dating. Dave shared the article on X, celebrating that he was named as the reason for Kim getting booed. “Holy s—! I’m getting credit for the Kardashian boos? Ego fully back to a hundred million trillion!!!!!!” he tweeted, sharing the New York Post article.

Dave posted a video online, trashing the reality star when the rumors were first reported. “It makes me want to puke,” he said. “Tom Brady can’t date Kim Kardashian. Listen, she’s hot, she’s a bazillionaire, but she’s a paparazzi girl, she f—– on camera, she ruins every man’s life she touches. She’s a Daily News, a Page Six, a reality TV girl.”
“I’m not saying there’s something wrong,” he continued. “You’re Tom Brady, you’re better than that.”
During the roast, Kim addressed the rumors of her relationship with Tom. “Speaking of Tom and I dating, I know there were some rumors that we were and I’d never say if we did or not, I’d just release the tape,” she said, making a quip about her sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J.
