And fans rushed to social media to have their say, but it wasn’t just the line-up getting people talking.
Many viewers were less than impressed with the amount of ad breaks during the show.
One wrote: “One thing I did not miss was having an ad break every 15 minutes.”
Another said: “Bloody ad breaks. Are they doing an advert after every two housemates?”
Someone else commented: “Not three housemates in and then bloody ads. How I have not missed this.”
And a fourth added: “I will be watching Big Brother tomorrow so I can skip the ads.”
Last week The Sun revealed one of the first tasks of the series – with the bedroom playing host to a twist.
A show insider told The Sun: “In this year’s abode bosses have installed a special bed that will be reserved for the King and Queen of the house.
“There are spots for 16 housemates this year, but whoever ends up bagging a spot in the gigantic bed will receive special treatment.”
Producers working on the show are keeping tight-lipped but the mole added that it may form part of a wider task during the new series.
