YouTube star GK Barry has broken her silence on her impending I’m A Celebrity appearance as ITV bosses are reportedly in “crisis talks”.

It comes after the influencer’s podcast faces backlash due to controversial comments on her Saving Grace podcast. In a recent episode, the 25-year-old spoke to Only Fans creator Bonnie Blue. GK, whose real name is Grace Keeling, was targeted by viewers who claimed her comments during the discussion were “harmful”.

Now, GK has revealed the jungle “looks like absolute hell” as the latest batch of famous faces get ready to take on the challenge. However, she insists she will make for good viewing for the British public.

Speaking to the Mirror, the YouTuber said: “I hate bugs. I hate sleeping outside. I’ve never done it. And so I think that would be a lot. But I feel like it would also probably be good viewing for other people.”

However, despite her comments, a source has hit out at her inclusion. “I’m A Celeb is a family show and they can’t have anyone on there who agrees with sleeping with barely 18 years olds,” the source claimed to The Sun. “The top brass have held crisis talks as to how they handle the backlash with GK enters the show. GK has deleted the video but the furore hasn’t gone away.”

GK has amassed an audience of 3.6 million since first posting on TikTok in 2020,. The star, from Cambridge, also has 1.5 million listeners to her podcast, which she launched in 2022. Discussing her impressive viewing figures, Grace confessed it all happened by accident.

She went on: “I called myself GK Barry because I didn’t want people from school or university finding my videos. I was embarrassed about it at first. It’s ironic. When you’re small, a lot of people will judge you for the content you are putting out. But as soon as you start getting bigger, all those people who judged you want to become your best friend.”

She is set to join the likes of Coleen Rooney, former Strictly star Oti Mabuse, former boxing champion Barry McGuigan and singer Tulisa in the Australian jungle. Coleen is said to have enlisted her family members to keep an eye on husband Wayne while she is away.

Meanwhile, it’s claims Rebekah Vardy will be watching keenly to see if Coleen says anything about their legal battle. It’s thought she would be ready to launch a further legal case for any misplaced comments.
