Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley was left stunned on Wednesday’s show after learning a staggering detail about the upcoming Oasis tour.

Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher left Oasis fans thrilled earlier this week when the infamously feuding brothers announced they would be putting their differences aside to set out on a 14-date tour across the UK and Ireland next summer.

Announcing the news on Tuesday, the brothers revealed: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

Fans were immediately left concerned when Oasis announced the ticket sale would take place on Saturday at 9am in the UK and 8am in Ireland – with fears over Ticketmaster’s ability to handle the predicted high volume of traffic its website will receive.

And now another alarming detail has been pointed out by GMB presenter Richard Arnold. Appearing on Wednesday’s show, the TV star revealed that hotel prices have soared ahead of the 2025 tour.

Richard A revealed: “Oasis mania continues to sweep the country following the announcement of their comeback tour dates yesterday, hotel prices near gig venues went supersonic within minutes of the announcement with room rates increasing up to eight times the normal cost!” to which co-star Charlotte Hawkins remarked: “Ouch!”

GMB Entertainment Editor Richard A continued: “A room at the Marriott Bonvoy in Cardiff was almost £900 a night compared to its usual rate of £120. A Holiday Inn near Wembley went from £195 a night to almost £600” to which co-star Richard M was left utterly stunned, commenting: “What? For a Holiday Inn? This is Taylor Swift territory!”

Adding more hotel prices, Richard A said: “In Manchester, a room in a V Lodge will set you back £728 for one night”, pointing out rooms are usually £95 a night and encouraged viewers to book a hotel room with free cancellation.

It comes as Oasis appeared to answer fans’ concerns and offered a pre-sale ballot. Announcing the news on Twitter, now X, Oasis explained: “A ticket pre-sale will be held on Friday 30th August, ahead of Saturday’s general sale. To ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets, applicants will be selected for the pre-sale via a ballot. Ballot registration is open now and will close at 7pm BST, this Wednesday 28th August.

“Successful applicants will receive an email with full access information the morning of Friday 30th August. Success in the ballot will not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.”
