I’m A Celebrity fans accuse bosses of ‘RUINING’ the series and ‘COPYING Big Brother’ as Joel Dommett reveals a HUGE new twist ahead of the iconic Cyclone trial

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! fans have accused bosses of ‘ruining’ the series after a huge new twist was revealed during spin-off Unpacked on Tuesday.

For many years, the legendary Celebrity Cyclone trial has been a goalpost many stars have tried to reach, and when this series kicked off last month, the latest edition of the challenge appeared to be no different.

However, Joel Dommett has now revealed that in the build-up to the Celebrity Cyclone, this year’s remaining campmates will go head-to-head for the chance to win immunity from the next two vote-offs, guaranteeing them the chance to take part in the trial.

He explained: ‘Over the next two days, the campmates will be competing for this,’ before holding up an enormous ticket that said ‘Ticket To The Cyclone.’

‘Whoever wins this will be safe from the next two vote offs and will be guaranteed a place in the trial everyone wants to do. Celebrity Cyclone!’ he added.

The move didn’t go down well with viewers, and some were quick to accuse bosses of ‘copying Big Brother’ with a twist-heavy format, after that came under fire during the most recent series of the ITV reality show.

Posts on X included: ‘They have ruined it. The series was going perfectly but production had to mess it up like they did with Big Brother. Luckily I don’t mind who wins but we deserve to see certain people on that trial.

‘This is awful. I hope it is won by someone who is very likely to be in the final four anyway;

‘I’m sorry but that should be the viewers choice and a reward for being a fan favourite;

‘No! The public should have the say on who stays; Immunity to get to the cyclone? Oh they defo watch BB; That’s rubbish this year.

‘No, no, no! Cyclone should always be the final 4 as voted by us viewers. What’s the point of us voting if you’re gonna fast-track someone to the final.

‘Come on, I don’t think that is fair or right. It should be who the people vote for! If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!’

It comes after hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed the reason that they were absent from the most recent episode of Unpacked.

The pair typically make an appearance on the ITV2 favourite after hosting the main show, but failed to feature during the latest episode.

Speaking on their Instagram Live series Jungle Club, which the pair present daily following the main show, Ant and Dec were quick to poke fun at their absence.

At first, the pair joked that the reason they missed Unpacked was due to a falling-out with hosts Joel Dommett and Sam Thompson.

However, they later clarified that they had to go and prepare for an announcement that they were due to film in the camp.

‘We couldn’t do it because we’re going down to camp to do an announcement so we had to go and prepare for that,’ they explained.

After sparking speculation with her absence on Unpacked, Tulisa broke her silence to clarify that she ‘needs time to process’ her I’m A Celebrity exit.

In a video posted on Instagram, Tulisa said: ‘I’m just doing a little video to clear a couple things up.

‘Just so you know, when I came out of the jungle, I felt fine first of all and then that evening my friends went to bed.

‘I was on my Instagram trying to have a nice little scroll at some funny stuff.

‘I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding in all the most positive way. But because it’s been a while for me I can get overwhelmed quite easily.

‘And I just started to feel overwhelmed. I thought do you know what, I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill.

‘This is all feeling just a little bit much at the moment. I’m just going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle.

‘Then when the time is right and I’ve had a little time to process I’m going to make my own reels of all my best bits I really like.’

Despite questions around her I’m A Celeb departure, a source has insisted to MailOnline there is ‘no bad blood’ between Tulisa and ITV, adding: ‘There is nothing sinister going on and the situation will become clear soon.’
