I’m A Celebrity host Declan Donnelly PLAYS PRANK Ant McPartlin leaving him FURIOUS as they count down to STARTING dating

Declan Donnelly showed off his mischievous side on Instagram on Tuesday as he played an insect prank on Ant McPartlin.

I’m A Celebrity will return to screens on November 17th with a star-studded line-up, with Coleen Rooney, Maura Higgins and Danny Jones set to head into the jungle.

And as the countdown begins, Dec, 49, proved he is ready to embrace the camp’s creepy crawlies as he shared a video of Ant sitting on garden furniture, unaware dozens of ants are crawling on the table.

As Dec repeatedly calls Ant, the presenter becomes completely confused as he can’t see the ants which are a filter on his phone.

He said: ‘What the hell are you talking about?’, to which Dec joked:  ‘Somebody get the exterminator’.

While many found the clip amusing, others brought up about the show’s controversial use of animals.

An ant mill is an observed phenomenon in which a group of ants, separated from the main foraging party, lose the track and begin to follow one another forming a continuously rotating circle.

This circle is commonly known as a “death spiral” because the ants might eventually die of exhaustion.

One wrote: ‘Poor insects abused as usual. Why is this is still seen as ok?’

‘Oh noooo! If these are real they are in the “death spiral” and ‘Animal abuse is never a laughing matter.’

It comes after I’m A Celebrity announced it will be launching a brand new spin-off show called I’m A Celebrity…Unpacked this autumn on ITV2.

The show will be hosted by former jungle star Joel Dommett, 39, Capital radio DJ Kemi Rodgers, 29, and reining King of the jungle Sam Thompson, 32.

During the spin-off show the trio will dissect everything that goes on in camp, before speculating about what may be in store, all the while giving their opinions and taking part in fun debates.
