Outspoken Jane Moore insists she is not worried about being cancelled on this year’s I’m A Celebrity.
The Loose Women star and journalist says if there is a row on social media about something she says in camp that will not affect her.
She explained: “I do written opinion, which is, obviously, you know, you can read it, the lawyers look at it, etc, etc. But I do spoken opinion on a live television show.
And I’m fully aware that, you know, sometimes you can say something that somebody doesn’t agree with, and there’ll be a Twitter storm, or an X storm, or whatever we call it these days.
But for me, if it doesn’t make it into a printed newspaper, then it’s not a story. So it’s just people on a social media platform who don’t agree with what you’ve said, getting hot under the collar because they don’t agree with you.
“That doesn’t mean to say that what you said is, you know, fitting some sort of ism or bigotry or whatever. I mean, it could just be that, I don’t know, I might say, ‘Oh, I love wearing a red hat,’ you know.
“And on social media, someone will say, ‘I can’t believe you said that, my grandmother died when she was wearing a red hat’. I literally can’t be doing with all that. So if it’s that level, no. I mean, yeah, listen, I don’t have it in me to say something offensive.
“Do I have it in me to say something that somebody living in their mother’s spare bedroom with no life might not agree with? Yeah, but that’s their problem, not mine.

“For me, to come out and look at what people have said about me or whatever would be madness.
“I’m just not going to go looking for things, and I’ve said to my daughters don’t look at it either.”
Jane, 62, says she and Barry McGuigan are “flying the flag” for Over 60s but admitted it felt strange and outside of her comfort zone as she prepared to enter the camp with no idea what challenges were ahead in the next few weeks. Her main goal is simply “not to go out first” when evictions begin.
Jane also thinks a digital detox will do her good: “I genuinely think I will enjoy being away from devices and just being in the moment.
Because I do think, you know, all of us have lost that. This morning… I’m in a nice room looking at the sea right now, and I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll just get my phone and take a photo’. And I thought, ‘Oh, God, I haven’t got a phone’.
And so I had to stand there and look at the view and be in the moment and just look at it with my own eyes.
It was a really nice moment, actually, because I think we spend so much time looking at everything through a screen.
And I’m really looking forward to getting to know people and getting to find out what makes them tick. All of those people in there will be, well they are, by nature of the title of the show, celebrities, who are used to being asked questions, but within a probably intense environment, you know, like 15 minutes or something with a journalist.
“I’m just really keen to be able to have organic chats with them and really dig deep into some of some of the things – people’s childhood and why they ended up doing what they do, and just stuff like that. And I’m really, really looking forward to that journey.”
