I’m A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec showed no sign of stopping Wagatha Christie gags as they baited Rebekah Vardy relentlessly on Monday night.

The Geordie duo poked fun at Coleen’s ‘It’s… Rebekah Vardy’ post as they opened the show.

Viewers were all saying the same thing as the Geordie duo continued to reference Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy’s infamous trial.

Dec said: ‘Coleen talks about the trial of the century and recovering her legal costs from Rebekah Vardy.’

Ant added: ‘Mmm and in case you are wondering, that money went straight into… Coleen Rooney’s account.’

Taking to X, fans wrote: ‘if i had a pound for each time ant & dec will mention rebekah vardy i’ll have made as much money as colleen rooney’s wage for being on this show #imaceleb’,

‘Ant & Dec are ganging up on colleen with Rebekah, Vardy #ImACeleb’.

Later on in the show, Coleen spoke for the first time about her Wagatha Christie trial and told Dean that Rebekah threatened to sue if anyone used the trademark – which she owns.

Ant and Dec couldn’t help but make a savage dig at Rebekah after she vowed to call in the lawyers on ITV if anyone spoke of Wagatha Christie.

Wagatha Christie is the popular name given to Coleen and Rebekah’s £1.8 million court case, which culminated in a 2022.

It began when Coleen put a widely-shared post on Instagram which accused Rebekah of leaking ‘false stories’ about her private life to the press.

Rebekah denied the allegations and sued Coleen for libel, but the case – dubbed the ‘Wagatha Christie’ trial – found in Coleen’s favour, and left Rebekah liable to pay £1.5 million towards Coleen’s legal fees.

Just last month, Rebekah was ordered to pay £100,000 of the money she owes.

Before Coleen headed into the jungle, it was reported that Rebekah had instructed her lawyers to be primed and ready to pounce on Coleen if she re-ignited their bitter feud, according to The Sun.

Rebekah is on high alert and is also keen to remind ITV bosses and the show’s hosts, Ant and Dec that she owns the trademark to the phrase Wagatha Christie.

A source told the publication: ‘Becky was absolutely agog to hear Coleen was doing I’m A Celeb and fears a whole new round of allegations about their Wag war.

‘What’s more, she knows Ant and Dec will make her the brunt of their jokes and be desperate to jump on the Wagatha Christie phrase.

‘A very close eye will be kept on everything ITV air.’

And to make sure that nothing goes wrong, the star has instructed her lawyers to keep a close eye on Coleen’s time on the show.
