A host of celebrities have graced the red carpet at the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards this year.
The annual award ceremony has honoured unsung heroes in the UK since it launched in 1999. Each year, public nominations are compiled into a shortlist before the judging panel chooses the winners, with courageous efforts and fundraising among the achievements celebrated.
Winners are then honoured at a star-studded dinner and the Pride of Britain Awards is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week by recognising yet more individuals. This year’s event is once again hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, who have fronted the awards ceremony together since 2021.
Dozens of huge stars, from Oscar winners to chart-toppers and world champions, will celebrate the extraordinary achievements of winners, including awe-inspiring children of courage, fundraisers, campaigners and lifesavers as they come together to make the occasion.

They may be there in big numbers to show their support, but the stars are not big names from showbiz, TV, film, music and sport. Instead, the celebrities are the ones doing the applauding as they pay tribute to unsung heroes from communities across the UK.
An array of stars are in attendance at Grosvenor House in London for the special occasion, ahead of it being broadcast on ITV later this week. Among those who have already graced the red carpet at the venue on Monday night is Vogue Williams, who has been seen posing for photos looking more glamorous than ever in a stunning bright yellow gown.
Vogue slicked her blonde locks into a low ponytail and allowed her daring yellow dress to do all the talking as she smiled for the cameras. Best friends, Strictly’s Pete Wicks and former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson also stormed the red carpet with huge smiles and sharp suits. YouTube and TikTok star GK Barry has also graced the red carpet with a stunning look. Harry Potter’s Warwick Davis was accompanied by his daughter Annabelle to mark his fifth year at the show, and said he “loves celebrating people doing wonderful things through selfless acts”.

Strictly judge Shirley Ballas praised 25 years of Pride of Britain and joked she was prepared for the inevitable makeup malfunction once the emotional night got underway. “I love it; we hear from amazing people and lose our eyelashes. Every year, my eyelashes come off, and I have to run to my car.”
Wearing a plunging strapless fuchsia gown, Helen Flanagan cursed herself for forgetting to bring her tissues. “I always end up shedding a tear,” she laughed. The Celebs Go Dating star was pretty in pink as she styled her blonde locks in vintage curls. Helen and Vanessa Williams, who wore a glittering purple suit, were both wearing outfits by London Fashion Week’s youngest ever designer Josh Birch Jones.

Coronation Street star Sue Johnston, who will present the TSB Community Hero award to midwife Agnes Nisbett, has supported the event for a long time. “The stories are amazing. Agnes turned her grief at having a stillborn baby into helping other women who experience this, so they can get counselling,” she said. “She makes me think of my Auntie May, who was a midwife through the war in Liverpool.”
Loose Women panellist Linda Robson had her tissues at the ready. “I’ve been coming since it was at Waterloo Studios when it was a couple of hundred people there. It’s grown every year; it just gets bigger and bigger.” Fellow panelist Frankie Bridge is also in attendance, with her having walked the red carpet in a flowing white gown, which she accessorised with necklaces.

Clare Balding, who will co-present the Special Recognition award with Stephen Mangan to domestic violence campaigners Diana Parkes and Hetti Barkworth-Nanton, said: “It is brilliant to be here. It is a great way of celebrating so many people in so many different fields. Diana and Hetti showed amazing resilience in the face of complete tragedy. To then help other people is a really positive message.”
Jess Phillips MP – minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls – also praised the pair, who teamed up after the death of Diana’s daughter Joanna Simpson to help children living with domestic violence. “I do find it quite hard to be here (because of what people have been through),” said the Birmingham Yardley MP. “I’m so pleased that Hetti and Diana are being recognised. It’s always been families having to fight for the most basic level of justice in these cases.”

Long-running Pride of Britain host Carol, who’s modelled various looks over the years whilst fronting the annual awards ceremony, brought some sparkles to the red carpet with her look. She was seen wearing a white gown that featured sparkling details.

Kate opted to wear a gold suit for the occasion and accompanied the look with a coordinated purse. Kate, who lost her husband Derek Draper in January this year, said she was representing her late husband at the show. “It’s always a hugely emotional night,” she said. “You’re sometimes moved by the stories in a sad way, but also by the courage. I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to PoB throughout the journey of Derek being sick, and this is the first one I’ve been to with him not with us. He always loved it as a ceremony and a show. It’s wonderful to see how people fight on.”
Ranvir sported a velvet blue dress and matching handbag, whilst co-star Susanna was seen wearing a black dress that featured gold detailing. Richard wore a traditional black suit to the venue and Charlotte got glammed up in a blue dress. Whilst their colleague Laura decided to showcased a red and black dress at the ceremony.
