Strictly Come Dancing fans spotted Nancy Xu’s furious face as they fumed at Shirley Ballas and branded the BBC a “fix”.
Shayne Ward and Nancy were sadly eliminated from the dancing competition on Sunday after being in the dreaded dance-off alongside Katya Jones and Wynne Evans. Both couples performed their routines again, with Shayne and Nancy taking to the dance floor with their Rumba to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper, before Wynne and Katya performed their American Smooth to Grace Kelly by Mika.
The judges were then deadlocked, after Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to save Shayne and Nancy, while Anton Du Beke chose to save Wynne and Katya. As head judge, Shirley has the deciding vote, and she stunned fans when she opted to save Wynne and Katya.

Shayne and Nancy have been in the bottom two three times during the show, and the Rumba has been dubbed one of the most difficult dances to master, with many celebrities failing to impress the judges after performing it. While the former Coronation Street star was one of the bookies’ favourites to leave the show last weekend, Shayne and Nancy were still heartbroken to be going home, and viewers spotted Nancy’s furious face as she spoke to Tess Daly following the surprise result.
“Nancy gives a stare that the majority of people watching Strictly Come Dancing gave all at the same time when seeing the judges scores,” one tweeted, as another agreed: “I’m obsessed with angry Nancy staring the abysmal Shirley and Anton down. Yes, Shayne had been in the dance-off 3 times out of 7, but it should be about saving the best dancers. There was no contest between him and Wynne #strictly.”

“Yes, go on Nancy, stare that biased odd scoring lady down. Wrong decision indeed,” one fuming fan wrote, as they took aim at Shirley’s position as head judge. “Nancy is raging and I don’t blame her,” another replied, as one fan added: “I’m not the biggest Shane fan, but it seemed fairly obvious he was the better dancer!”
Others suggested that it was time for a dramatic shake-up of the judging panel, with one picking Motsi as a potential head judge candidate. “They need to give head judge to Motsi. Craig often scores too harshly whereas both Anton and Shirley are too led by their feels, and often dole out erratically high scores (Shirley especially when she fancies the contestant). Motsi is the most consistent and stable judge,” one fan explained.
“Shirley getting casting vote is a joke ..if it’s 2-2 should come down to audience vote,” another agreed, as one fed up fan chimed in: “Or go with who actually got the least public votes – like they used to in old X factor.” While another suggested: “Or have a different Head Judge each week.”
