Kamala Harris or Donald Trump will be taking over The White House after the last of Americans head to the polls on Tuesday.
On Monday’s episode the exciting trip was confirmed as Ed declared at the end: ‘Susanna, grab your bags we’re about to go.’
Susanna, 53, then briefly added: ‘Tune into Good Morning Britain tomorrow live from Washington.’

Speaking to the Radio Times, Susanna said about the trip: ‘Ed Balls and I are flying straight out to Washington DC after hosting Good Morning Britain on Monday 4 November.
‘We’ll be soaking up the atmosphere. Then we’ll be on the ground, presenting the election results programme on the Wednesday morning.
‘It’ll be one of those weeks where sleep takes a backseat. There are some stories where the adrenaline and cortisone just stream through your body’.
It comes after Susanna broke her silence on the Strictly Come Dancing bullying probe as she spoke in a candid new interview on Sunday.
The TV star and journalist appeared on the show in 2013 and was a runner-up with her dance partner Kevin Clifton.
Last year a dark cloud covered the BBC show after Sherlock actress Amanda Abbington made claims against her partner Giovanni Pernice.
The BBC upheld six of the 17 complaints and apologised publicly to Amanda, though Giovanni was cleared of the more serious allegations.
Susanna has now told The Times of working with her partner Kevin, 42: ‘I had such a great experience with him.’
But she added of the show’s controversy: ‘It is like being on a different planet, because everything sparkles, and so it’s a shame when it doesn’t for other people.

‘I think it’s really important that if people have had a bad experience that is addressed and they are supported.’
During the interview she also spoke about working in the ITV studios near where This Morning is filmed – but told how she doesn’t have much to do with the daytime show.
Asked if she watched former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield’s recent survival show she bluntly told the publication: ‘I didn’t watch it, and I don’t know him.’
Last month Phillip revealed he had secretly filmed a special three part series for Channel 5, which required him to give up his home comforts for some soul-searching on a tropical island in the Indian Ocean.
It was the first time he had been on TV since leaving the ITV’s This Morning in May 2023 after admitting to a relationship with a much younger male colleague.
After the affair was revealed his co-host on the show at that time Holly Willoughby reportedly cut all ties with him.
Susanna said she felt that ITV had dealt with the scandal and that it ‘feels like we’ve moved on.’
