This Morning fans were left outraged and asked the ITV programme if they were ‘trying to make them hate the show even more’ after Monday’s episode.

Viewers slammed the latest instalment for ‘scraping the barrel’ by inviting a controversial guest on their show – a woman who celebrates Christmas every day.

The show also invited music legend Lulu for an interview on the show’s iconic blue couch – a decision which also didn’t appear to please viewers.

During the show’s Christmas segment, a woman surrounded by festive decorations revealed she celebrates the holiday all year round because she never knows when her children are going to turn up because they work away.

She admitted that she constantly has the stockings filled and will happily have a Christmas roast dinner any day of the year.

After the streamed interview, show hosts Ben Shepard and Cat Deeley announced it was 100 days until December, 25.

Upset by the early arrival of Christmas celebrations, viewers flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their discontent.

One viewer penned: ‘Oh grow up, stupid woman! Where did this ridiculous obsession with bringing Christmas earlier every year come from’

‘Well done producers, you have made the viewers hate the show even more. F****n Christmas segments in September.’

‘I love Christmas because it’s not everyday of the year, it’s a special time of year which I love decorating the house for but I couldn’t do that everyday of the year.’

The woman’s Christmas segment comes before Ben and Cat chatted to Lulu about her upcoming tour, Farewell.

She is a legendary Scottish singer, actress, and television personality who rose to fame in the 1960s.

Lulu, born Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie in 1948, is best known for her breakthrough hit in 1964 with ‘Shout,’.

Over the decades, Lulu has had a successful music career, with other hits including: To Sir, with Love (1967) – a No. 1 hit in the U.S. and the theme song for the Sidney Poitier film of the same name, in which she also appeared.

Meanwhile Lulu won the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK with Boom Bang-a-Bang (1969).

During the interview, Lulu confessed that she tears up every time she looks at the clips going through her most iconic moments in her career.

The legend revealed there is a documentary in the works and teased viewers that there could be a film about her life in the works.
