This Morning viewers were left terrified after the show ‘triggered phobias’ with a whole segment dedicated to spiders during Thursday’s episode.
Hosts Craig Doyle and Sian Welby were left looking rather uncomfortable as they were joined on the show with some eight-legged friends and an incredibly lifelike toy.
While spider expert Professor James Logan advised on how to spider proof your home, both Sian and Craig looked to be struggling with the idea that the creatures were in fact ‘beautiful’.
Holding up the box containing a hairy house spider, Craig tried to remain calm as he said: ‘Ok let’s look at it, and try to decide what we like about its face, and not see it as the enemy’.
Meanwhile James reassured: ‘They are not going to harm us at all. They do bite, but they prefer not to.’

Even ITV hosts Craig Doyle and Sian Welby couldn’t hide their terror as they were left looking rather uncomfortable during a whole spider segment as they were joined by some eight-legged friends
Meanwhile Sian appeared on edge as kept a watchful eye on the spider in the box as she asked: ‘Oh its moving, its moving, that lid is on isn’t it?’
As James explained they use what looks like their fangs, also called pedipalps, to attract a mate, Craig joked: ‘Oh so they’re fangs are just a tool of love, it isn’t aggressive’.
Later as they set off an incredibly realistic tarantula toy to move across the room chaos descended as Craig threw a conker at the model while Sian exclaimed: ‘I’ve got PTSD from this, can someone get rid of this spider toy please’?
And fans of the show were also freaked out by the segment as they took to Twitter to share their fears.
One wrote: ‘I already have a spider phobia, didn’t need to tune in to see clips of spiders making my phobia even more worse.’
A second added: ‘How to inject more fear into people who already have a phobia to spiders’.
After James suggested we shouldn’t free the spiders outside as they will most likely die in the cold but instead we should find them a shed or garage to stay in, one viewer joked: ‘No bother mate I’ll let them all move in and pay rent’.
Another wrote: ‘If a spider that big got in our house then I’d move out and it could pay the rent #ThisMorning’.

Also upset by the segment another added: ‘How many times have they done this segment on how to get rid of spiders etc over the years on #ThisMorning, more rinse & repeat yet again!’
