Royal fans wonder why Meghan was absent from the event honoring Princess Diana hosted by Harry

Meghan Markle’s absence from Prince Harry’s upcoming trip to New York has surprised many royal fans. Sources close to the Duchess of Sussex said she wanted to give her husband some space to shine.

Prince Harry (39 years old) will travel to New York City (USA) to attend the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week, taking place from September 23 to 27 and from September 22 to 29 respectively. This trip also marks the 25th anniversary of the Diana Awards organization, of which Harry is a patron. An insider said that the Duchess of Sussex does not necessarily have to appear at every event with her husband.  “Meghan’s absence from this event does not mean that their relationship is having problems. She has always supported Harry and wants him to do things that are meaningful to him,” the source shared.

In an official announcement about Harry’s schedule, a spokesperson said that the Duke of Sussex will participate in activities with many organizations, including African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award and Travalyst. In addition, Harry will also continue his work at The Archewell Foundation – a non-profit organization co-founded by him and his wife Meghan. It is known that on September 24, the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit will also take place in New York. However, according to private sources, Prince William will not be in the US during this time due to his personal schedule. This means that the public will not be able to witness the meeting between the two brothers of Prince William at the event.

The source said that this trip will be an opportunity for Harry to focus on charity activities and projects that he is passionate about. “The trip will support Harry’s work with the organizations he sponsors ,” the source confirmed.
