Strictly’s first dance-off victim has been leaked online – and it’s safe to say that fans are not happy one bit.

While many wowed on the dancefloor this week others weren’t so impressive, with Toyah Willcox and Neil Jones landing at the bottom of the leaderboard. Despite Anton Du Beke hailing this week’s Jive as ‘1,000 times better’ than their Tango, the pair scored just 30 out of a possible 80 for their combined dances. Former footballer Paul Merson followed close behind with partner Karen Hauer at 32.

At the other end, Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec left the judges and fans speechless with their Viennese Waltz to Rhapsody in Blue, scoring them three nines and one eight and – combined with last week’s score – sending them soaring right to the top of the leaderboard with 65 out of 80. Following up closely behind were Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola with an impressive combined score or 62.

The Mirror won’t be spoiling who goes, but fans let rip after discovering the identity of the first axed celebrity and took to social media to vent their frustration.

One tweeted: “i genuinely don’t think i’ve ever been more pissed off if i’m being honest. heads will roll. #StrictlySpoiler.” Another agreed, writing: “A very cruel week one boot.”

A third commented: “Not surprised by the bottom 2 but I’m actually disgusted at the result! What are the judges on #StrictlySpoiler.” While another wrote: “Genuinely in shock at this week’s result.” One tweeted: “The way my heart dropped reading that #strictlyspoiler.”

It comes after the show almost had a very early exit in the form of Nick Knowles after he suffered a nasty injury to his arm. The DIY SOS host, 62, faced an anxious wait to be declared fit to perform with partner Luba Mushtuk this week, after injuring his shoulder, but he was given the green light late in the week.

Nick revealed on Instagram that he had injured himself while changing a tyre on his car at the weekend. He recorded a video wearing a makeshift sling, made from a blanket, and said: “Good morning, here’s a little update from me at the start of week two @bbcstrictly rehearsals. As you can see my arm is in a sling and that’s because my car broke down at the side of the motorway.

“I had my little boy in the car, so I wanted to change the tyre as quickly as possible. In the process of hurrying to get the wheel off, I managed to damage my shoulder and arm a little. I’m not sure how, but it’s been quite painful.”

He explained he was on his way to London’s Harley Street to get a scan done and some “top medical advice” before telling fans he was “heading to training afterwards”. He also confirmed he would see viewers on It Takes Two “later today” and promised fans to keep them updated “throughout the course of the day”.

A source said last week: “Nick and Luba’s attitude [was] very much that the show must go on, and they were thrilled when he was given the go ahead. They are even going to attempt a lift. Luba has told Nick that the move she was planning for the routine can be made safe for him – so as it stands they are still going to perform that. Nick is fully on board because the last thing he wants is the sympathy vote.

“Now that [he was] told he [could] perform this week he [was] determined to come out all guns blazing and give the routine everything he had. He and Luba were rehearsing at Elstree to help them to make up the time they had lost this week.”

The source added: “Nick was really irritated to have injured himself so soon in the competition – especially doing something he could have avoided. It was a huge sigh of relief for him when the doctors said he could dance.”
