Camp life in the I’m A Celebrity jungle was spiced up when Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles entered the Jungle Junkyard – but all could be about to change.

While the main camp had a basic set up and was working to gain food, Maura and Richard were lapping up the luxury – while trying to convince fellow stars they were living in a slum-like space. They started off brilliantly, managing to convince Melvin Odoom they were getting covered in offal. However, one star became suspicious and appeared to have rumbled their secret. That star, was Coleen Rooney, who, in true Wagatha Christie, got to work to find out the truth.

When it was dinner time in both camps, the Jungle Junkyard received a full spread of fish, sides and dessert. The lavish spread wasn’t known to the main camp. The note which accompanied it read: “However, as the celebrities in main camp believe you won zero stars in today’s Trial, they have been given the chance to sacrifice some of their dinner so that you can eat tonight. If they decide to sacrifice their food then you win three more portions at the junk food buffet.”

After discussion, the main camp found it in the goodness of their hearts to give up some of their food and it fell to Coleen and Danny to deliver the goods to the Jungle Junkyard. While there, they checked in on Maura, Richard and Dean. When Coleen and Danny returned back to main camp, they updated their fellow campmates on the Jungle Junkyard conditions but suspicions were beginning to be raised leaving it no a knife edge as to whether the new duo would succeed in their challenge.

She explained how she felt they looked better than they did the day before and said she feels something isn’t quite right. She suspiciously told the celebs: “Dean had the same face today as Maura had yesterday.” In the Bush telegraph, she added: “I thought he just looked more content than I thought he would be with the junkyard environment.”

Flashing back to her in-camp conversation, Coleen said: “They were hiding something from us.” The group then started to think of incidents that could have shown the junkyard campers were lying.

It came after Danny and Dean had headed down to the Bushtucker Trial area to face ‘The High Street of Horrors’. Before heading to the trial, Danny jokingly asked Dean: “Fancy going shopping?”

Horrified to learn they’d be joining them there, Maura and Richard also headed down to the Trial area for the day’s Bushtucker Trial, not knowing what lay in store. First to arrive were Maura and Richard. They were greeted by Ant and Dec and asked how they were enjoying the Jungle Junkyard, Maura revealed: We’ve had a lovely time… I’m loving it!,” while Richard said: “I’m really consumed with guilt!”

Ant and Dec explained to the duo that as they successfully got a bed delivered to them from main camp yesterday, they won three portions of food for the junk food buffet. They were also told that the Trial was their next opportunity to continue the charade, as they had to convince Danny and Dean that they had already taken part in ‘The Deadly Department Store’ to try and win 2 stars for their dinner, but failed.
