Eamonn Holmes’ fans were worried about him when he presented GB News today.

The 64-year-old was joined on the show by nineties icon, Mr Motivator, real name, Derrick Errol Evans, 71, who tried to guide the father of four through some simple exercises.

After attempting the low-level workout, Eamonn admitted he was struggling, as he told his guest: “It’s like a living nightmare”. He continued: “We get the message, Mot, thank you. We look forward to seeing you when you’re 91 instead of 71, my friend.”

Mr Motivator replied: “GB News should have me come in every single morning to do five minutes before you guys come on and that way we can get the nation moving. Movement is medicine!” “Oh God,” Eamonn groaned as he could be heard belly laughing in the background.

The presenter admitted earlier this year that he felt like he was living on “borrowed time” due to his ill health. Speaking at the TRIC Awards, which he attended for the first time without estranged wife, Ruth Langsford, the star made the comment after his father died from a heart attack in 1991, aged 66. Eamonn has also been plagued by back pain as well as having two hip replacements.

In August, the former This Morning host was flooded with support after he admitted he could barely walk. Taking to Instagram sharing a snap of himself, leaning against a door frame, sporting cream slacks and a navy sweater, he told fans his mobility is showing no signs of improvement as he shared a worrying caption, which read: “Hard to stand up, but next aim is to walk off to a birthday party today. What about you?”

Eamonn’s fans flocked to support him following the post, with many congratulating him for how well he was doing. One said: “You’re doing well Eamonn, keep it up xx.” Another advised: “Keep moving Eamonn, as painful as it may be. Every little movement is of benefit.” A third encouraged: “Come on Eamonn, we’re all behind you” while another gushed: “Looking good.”

The Northern Irishman has battled multiple heath issues over the past few years, before he and Ruth announced they were ending their marriage in May.

According to Best magazine, the star would like to become friends with Ruth as he responded when asked about the status of their relationship: “It’s too early to say, but I hope we can still be friends.”

The pair are still wearing their wedding rings despite reports Eamonn has moved on with relationship counsellor, Katie Alexander, who is 42.
