Reality TV star Molly-Mae Hague has revealed how cruel trolls impacted her mental health following a recent outing with her former fiancé Tommy Fury and their young daughter.
The former Love Island stars sparked rumours a reconciliation is on the cards as they enjoyed a day out with baby Bambi last week. Molly-Mae and Tommy, who became fan favourites on the hit ITV2 show and later got engaged, surprised their followers when they called it quits last August, just over a year after welcoming their first child.
Amidst swirling rumours, including accusations of infidelity which Tommy has vehemently denied, he has expressed his determination to win back Molly-Mae and return to their shared home. Over the weekend, the pair were seen close to each other as they took their 23-month-old daughter Bambi to a soft play area in Cheshire, fuelling rumours that Tommy might be inching towards his goal.
In her latest vlog, Molly-Mae addresses the day out with Tommy and their daughter, which she describes as “actually a really lovely thing to do” and reveals how she noticed some harsh comments about her appearance from TikTok users. “And I was looking at the comments because naturally you go to the comments section,” Molly-Mae began as she shared her story with her YouTube viewers. “And what killed me was that people are more concerned about how ‘large’ I looked.”

The mum-of-one then shares how the top ‘liked’ comment on one of the TikTok posts was regarding her weight, adding: “And I was like ‘oh, okay’, and normally, things don’t really bother me, I don’t know why it bothered me. But, I read it and I was like ‘um’, I think because I was already feeling a bit sensitive this week as to my appearance and I was just feeling a little bit…”
Moll-Mae goes on to explain how people on TikTok always come up with some really “innovative things to say”, adding how she sometimes find the jibes creative. “But, I read it and I was like ‘um’, I think because I was already feeling a bit sensitive this week as to my appearance and I was just feeling a little bit thingy about it,” she adds.
“Even today I was just like ‘ugh I just don’t feel my nicest’ and then when I saw that. I’m really glad that took priority over co-parenting news, and us being seen out together but also, it is a little bit confidence-knocking.” The former PrettyLittleThing creative director adds how she usually “wouldn’t care” about the mean comments but had been feeling sensitive when she saw the latest batch.
She then expressed how she didn’t want to focus on negativity and never usually does, telling her loyal followers: “If I do let it get to me, I keep that to myself, but when I woke up. And I think I was already a little bit delirious from my power nap, and probably because I had a sausage sandwich for breakfast. I was like ‘um’, not that there’s anything wrong with a sausage sandwich for breakfast but I just felt a little bit like, I don’t know, anyway, moving on.”

Despite arriving separately in their matching £200K Mercedes for the outing with Bambi over the weekend, both Molly-Mae and Tommy’s respective cars were seen heading back to the £4M mansion they once shared before Tommy moved out post-split. However, those rooting for a romantic rekindling may need to temper their expectations, as body language expert Judi James suggests the recent get-together seemed more like a “tense co-parenting event” than a sign of them getting back together.
Judi has admitted that a reunion for this famous couple is looking increasingly unlikely after their latest public appearance. She explained, “Although I’ve always claimed a reunion could be on the cards for these two, their look on this outing seems to sadly signal it won’t be any time soon,” She observed the event as tense and apparently stressful for the pair co-parenting without any signs of unity: “This looks like a tense, possibly stressed co-parenting event with no body language signals in these poses of any form of togetherness.”
Judi continued her analysis by pointing out what Molly-Mae’s actions might indicate: “Molly-Mae could have been indulging in some female peacocking, dressed for the camera and lingering close to her daughter to smile and play and create affectionate proximity with Tommy for some family poses. She could have carried Tommy’s mug rather than let him carry both drink and child, but instead she’s walked off ahead with a dour expression and her hands tucked into the sleeves of her huge jacket.”
She then detailed their contrasting appearances and the implications: “She looks like she is dressed for practicality and comfort in her baggy joggers, slippers and ponytail. Tommy looks smarter, as though he might have been dressed to impress, but that only seems to make the emotional distance between them even greater. The fans would love a romantic Christmas ending for these two but the signals here are that Tommy might still be in ‘graft’ mode.”
