Mike Tyson, 58, is back in the spotlight. He is gearing up for a showdown that’s turning heads across the boxing world. His opponent is none other than Jake Paul, the YouTube sensation turned boxer. Now, fans might be thinking, “Tyson’s pushing 60! What’s he doing in the ring?” Well, hold onto your hats, as ‘Iron Mike’ is not messing around.
Tyson dropped a bombshell in a recent appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’. He revealed his intense training sessions, spanning at leat six hours a day for this fight! Even at 58 years old, he is not letting his aches and pains determine his training duration.
“Well, I like him [Jake Paul], but in this particular fight, he has to go…I’m nervous too, but the closer it gets to the fight, the least nervous I get… I start at eleven, and I might leave the gym at five,” said Tyson.
Mike Tyson admitted that he was nervous. The man who once struck fear into the hearts of opponents is feeling the jitters. But it has always been the case for him. Even in his prime days, the ‘Baddest Man on The Planet’ revealed he was nervous before the fights.
Tyson’s not taking Paul lightly, though. He knows the 27-year-old will come prepared. Their fight was originally scheduled for June, but Mike Tyson’s ulcer had other plans. Now, it is set for November 15th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Mike Tyson believes That Dana White Will Make Boxing Great
Dana White is no stranger to making waves. He transformed the UFC into a powerhouse, and now he’s eyeing boxing. ‘Iron Mike’ sees Dana’s influence as a much-needed boost to boxing, which has struggled with matchmaking and fan engagement in recent years.

Tyson shared his thoughts during a lively chat on the ‘It Is What It Is’ podcast. He pointed out how UFC fighters face the best competition, unlike boxing, where mismatches are often the norm.
“Well listen, that’s going to be the best thing to happen to boxing because Dana – listen, just like UFC, right? Listen, if you in UFC and if anybody’s booing a fight, you’re not going to see that guy… There’s only good fights. If you don’t have a good fight, you ain’t never going to see that guy again,” said Tyson.
Mike Tyson believes Dana White will shake things up, ensuring fighters don’t wait until they’re past their prime to finally face each other. With the UFC CEO at the helm, Tyson foresees a future where fewer “tune-up” fights and more high-stakes bouts are held, and fans are yearning for that kind of intensity!
