Donald Trump WINS crushing election victory over Kamala Harris after swing states go red & leave Democrats humiliated

Watch Trump speak below after his win

DONALD Trump has won a crushing election victory over Kamala Harris after battleground swing states turned red and delivered him the White House.

His commanding win has left Democrats humiliated after he flipped Pennsylvania and Georgia and held onto North Carolina.

With Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral college votes Trump is on the cusp of a triumphant return to Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC as he would only need reliably red Alaska to reach 270.

He also swept to victory in his stronghold safe states he appears to have only extended the size of his victories in.

There are reports of “silence” and supporters leaving early at Harris campaign HQ.

There is jubilation and a party atmosphere at Trump’s beloved resort Mar-a-Lago and at the convention hall at West Palm Beach where he is set to speak.

Four more battleground swing states remain to be called – Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada – but Trump will not need them.

Trump takes to the stage and declares victory

Speaking to fans in West Palm Beach, Trump dubbed his campaign “the greatest political movement of all time” and said it would “truly be the golden age for America”.

“Every single day I will be fighting for you, with every single breath in my body,” he continued.

“I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that children deserve.

“And that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age for America.”

Trump added: “Frankly I believe this was the greatest political movement of all time.”

“We have a country that needs help very badly”, he told the audience, promising to “fix everything”.

He declared: “It’s clear that… this is a political victory”.

Trump leading in outstanding swing states

Trump continues to lead in the battleground states that are yet to declare a winner.

They include Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada, as well as the safe red state of Alaska.

Harris remains leading in Minnesota and Maine, but those two states will not be enough to get her to 270 votes.

AP reveals why it called Pennsylvania for Trump

The Associated Press has revealed how it made the decision to call the Keystone State and its 19 votes for Trump.

They said in a blog post: “Trump was leading by 175,000 votes at the time the race was called.

“Trump cut into Harris’ margins in Philadelphia and its suburbs and expanded his share of the vote elsewhere in the state compared to his performance against Biden four years ago.

“Harris underperformed Biden’s 2020 performance in almost every county.”

AP says Trump is leading in Pennsylvania

The Associated Press say Trump is leading in Pennsylvania, but they are yet to call the race officially for Trump.

They say Harris’ path is more narrow than the other swing states yet to be called like Michigan or Wisconsin, but that it remains too early to call.

Some, like Fox News and the New York Post, have already made the call and put Trump on the cusp of returning to the White House.

Trump getting closer to taking Pennsylvania

Trump is getting closer to taking the key battleground of Pennsylvania and flipping a second state from the Democrats.

He currently sits on 51 per cent of the vote with 3.4m ballots cast in his name, while Kamala languishes behind on 48 per cent of the vote and 3.2m ballots.

Nearly 95 per cent of the expected vote is now in, narrowing the paths Harris has to get back in front.

Some have already congratulated Trump, with CPAC posting on X: “Congratulations to the 45th and 47th President of The United States, Donald J. Trump.”

A new dawn in US politics for Brits

British MPs and politicos who haven’t travelled stateside for the election are slowly waking up to news of a very likely Trump victory.

Unsurprisingly, ministers appear to be under strict instructions to stay silent for now, with no government representative scheduled to speak to broadcasters this morning.

While Trump’s pal Nigel Farage parties in Mar-a-Lago, Reform Chairman Zia Yusuf told The Sun: “The race is closer in New York than it is in Florida.

“Trump has had a huge surge among Latinos.

“Facts that would have been unthinkable last time.

“Electoral landscapes are being redrawn at breakneck speed.

“The UK is next.”

Kamala Harris supporters desert watch party in DC

Democratic supporters have been pictured leaving the arena in DC where Harris’ watch party was taking place at her alma mater Howard University.

The once-full grounds are rapidly emptying after a downcast mood took over in recent hours.

It came as Trump was projected to bag 32 electoral college votes in vital swing states Georgia and North Carolina.

Major news outlets project Trump will win Pennsylvania

Fox News has projected that Donald Trump will win the key battleground state of Pennsylvania – and has all but won the presidency.

He would then only need to win Alaska to get to 270 votes.

The Hill has called Pennsylvania and the entire race for the former president as he storms back towards the White House.

Trump makes first flip of race with Georgia

Donald Trump has snatched 16 precious Electoral College votes back from the Democrats after Joe Biden won Georgia in 2020.

The Republican was taped on a phone call in 2020 pressuring a Georgia official into “finding” him enough votes to win the state.

He told Georgia’s Republican secretary of state Brad Raffensperger: “I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have.”

Ultimately, he lost the state in 2020 after first winning it in 2016 and his alleged attempt to overturn it led to him being indicted.

Trump now has found himself 2.6m votes – or 51 per cent – and put winning the state beyond the reach of Biden’s VP Kamala Harris in 2024.

Harris has only received 2.5m votes with more than 95 per cent of the total ballots counted.

Harris campaign co-chair addresses demoralised election night party

Harris’ campaign co-chair, Cedric Richmond, told the audience gathered at Howard University there were votes still left to count.

Richmond said: “We still have states that have not been called yet. We will continue overnight to fight to make sure that every vote is counted, that every voice has spoken.

“So you won’t hear from the vice president tonight but you will hear from her tomorrow.”

Richmond said Harris would return to Howard “not only to address her supporters but to address the nation.”
