Coleen Rooney was left red-faced as she was dealt her first Wagatha Christie dig by co-star Dean McCullough on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The famous faces endured their first challenge of the ITV show during Sunday night’s premiere, with five celebs being forced to jump from an airplane onto a beach to meet their fellow campmates. Danny Jones was up first, and picked former boxer Barry McGuigan as his partner, as they got into waiting Jeeps to continue the race to become camp leader.

Tulisa Contostavlos picked Coronation Street icon Alan Halsall, Jane Moore chose her Loose Women co-star GK Barry, which left Coleen and Melvin Odoom waiting to be picked. Next to land on the beach was Radio 1 DJ Dean, who left fans in stitches as he uttered Coleen’s iconic nickname for the first time on the show.

Running across the beach to Coleen and Melvin, Dean shouted: “Melvin I’m so, so sorry, but… Wagatha Christie, you’re coming with me!” Coleen visibly cringed and shook her head while laughing, as she ran through the sand with her new partner.

In an interview before heading into camp, Coleen said she had put the public legal battle with Rebekah Vardy behind her, and was keen on “moving forward”. She said: “That’s a place that I’ve been, I’ve dealt with it. In my life now, I’m just moving forward and not looking back. That’s something I’ve done my whole life, dealt with things, moved forward at the time and got on. There are more important things to think about with the family and kids.”

Coleen insisted she had signed up to the ITV show “for me and not for anyone else”, but had struggled with leaving her four boys – Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six – who she shares with husband Wayne Rooney. “I think I’d rather just be known as Coleen from Liverpool. Not from any other type of place. It’s just me, as I always have been. So hopefully people just think she’s that Scouser that she’s always been.”
