STRICTLY star Tasha Ghouri’s dad has been been accused of “throwing her rivals under the bus” while defending her dance experience.
Former Love Island star Tasha, 26, raised eyebrows when it was announced she’d joined Strictly Come Dancing this year, having competed in several dance competitions previously.

Now her dad Tarek has been slammed by fans for taking to social media to hit back at negative comments about his daughter, who is partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec.
Writing on Reddit, one said: “Every single day this man is fighting with idiots on Facebook who mention Tasha’s previous dance experience (a literal fact) by bringing up other contestants who’ve danced before and throwing them right under the bus with fans in order to divert from his daughter.
“I’m sorry but I think that’s really low down behaviour.”
Another wrote: “Is she aware of this? Cause, if this was my dad, we would be having a word.”
One comment from Tarek pointed out that Jamie Borthwick won last year’s Strictly Christmas special while JB Gill has experience from his time in JLS.
Shortly after confirming her place in this year’s series, Tasha defended her previous experience.
She said: “I’ve not danced for quite a few years, since Love Island my career is so different.
“It’s such a different dance style, I may actually not be good at it, like ballet – I’m not good at ballet.
“I’m trained in commercial street style it’s going to be very hard but I’m excited for a challenge.”
Tasha has also been defended by actress and pop star Alexandra Burke, who came runner-up on Strictly in 2017.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Alexandra said: “Tasha’s not had Latin and Ballroom dancing. I got that negative response, but I’d never had Latin and Ballroom dance experience.
“So actually let her live and let her live her best life, because she’s having the most amazing time most likely.
“I think it’s super important that this is once in a lifetime opportunity for people to learnt Latin and Ballroom at such an older age.”
