Eamonn Holmes in show of support for Ruth Langsford over her ailing mum
The pair announced their shock split last year
Eamonn Holmes publicly supported Ruth Langsford last night (December 16), seven months after they announced their shock decision to split.
The Loose Women panelist, 64, recently shared that her 93-year-old mum, Joan, had suffered a fall and fractured her pelvis. Ruth’s sad family update came after rumours that Eamonn was engaged were shut down by his rep.
And, after denying reports he was engaged to girlfriend Katie, Eamonn reached out to Ruth.

Ruth’s sadness for her ‘darling mum’
Earlier this month, the Loose Woman presenter recently revealed her mum had fallen and hurt her pelvis.
“No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas…. She’s had a fall and fractured her pelvis!” she wrote. The TV star said her mum didn’t need any surgery. But she was advised to get plenty of rest.

Ruth shared: “She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon. This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well. She’s a very strong woman so I’m sure she’ll recover from this too. Put life and what’s important into perspective eh? Happy Christmas!”
Last night’s post revealed that Joan will be in the hospital for a “bit longer yet, but she’s in pretty good spirits”.
