Singer Ray J has claimed some celebrities have paid alleged victims of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in order to keep them quiet.
The 43-year-old singer, who once dated Kim Kardashian, has alleged he has been approached by several individuals who are worried about their former connections to P Diddy coming under scrutiny. According to Ray J, these well-known figures have been reaching out to alleged victims, offering financial settlements in an attempt to avoid public scandal.
These allegations come as part of a new Tubi documentary by TMZ titled The Downfall of Diddy: Inside the Freak-Offs. In a clip from the documentary, Ray J discussed how certain celebrities are allegedly offering payouts to prevent potential future allegations.
He alleged some people are using the payments as a way of keeping their name out of Diddy’s legal trouble. Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr, claimed, “I’m hearing about artists paying victims to keep their name out of it.”

He added: “Here’s what I do know, people do catch and kills all day. And a catch and kill, of course you know, but for the regular world. Somebody has the truth, somebody pays you to keep it quiet, and hopefully that money that you got paid secures your happiness while you watch the lie continue to succeed.”
Interviewer Harvey Levin then pushed Ray J by asking if he knew anyone personally who had been offered money to stay quiet. The songwriter replied: “Here’s the other way around it Harvey. I’ll give you money, please don’t talk.”
He then claimed the high-profile individuals are reaching out to him, alleging, “They want to talk to me about what happened to them. They call me. They feel like they can trust me.”

Ray J then said: “I think I said too much.” In the interview, he did not name any celebrity and he has not accused Combs of using payments to try and keep any alleged victims quiet. The Mirror US has approached Combs’ attorneys for comment.
The Bad Boy records founder is currently awaiting federal trial after he was arrested in September on charges including s3x trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs has vehemently denied all allegations against him and pleaded not guilty in court. No other celebrities are involved in the case.

As Combs awaits trial, he has also been hit with several civil lawsuits by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee. These include allegations of rape, s3xual abuse and s3xual assault, all of which Diddy has strongly denied. No other celebrities have been named in the lawsuits or been accused of any wrongdoing.
Combs’ attorney Erica Wolff responded to the lawsuits and said: “We cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he s3xually abused anyone, including minors.”
She concluded: “He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if and when claims are filed and served, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
In a second statement about the lawsuits, Diddy’s attorneys told The Mirror US: “The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity. Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never s3xually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”
