John Fury sparked chaos at a press conference announcing his son Tommy Fury’s upcoming fight against Darren Till.
Fury is set to return to the ring in January after more than a year away, with the 25-year-old boxer headlining a Misfits card against former UFC star Till. Fury has not fought since beating KSI back in 2023, while Till has never officially boxed before.
Fury and Till will fight at the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester on January 18 and a press conference took place in London on Tuesday to hype the event. The pair hurled insults at each other, before things really broke down when Fury’s father John got involved.
Security was forced to intervene after Fury Sr began squirting water at Till, triggering a scuffle as both fighters attempted to get at the other. However, the pair were kept separate and the situation was eventually de-escalated.
Earlier in the press conference, Till had threatened to kick Fury in the face if he was losing the fight. “At the end of the day if I can’t beat you, I’ll just kick you in the face in there, how about that?” he said.
Fury then hit back: “Well that’s not going to happen is it Darren. Because we ain’t in the cage now, we’re in the boxing ring and you’re going to find out that boxing is very different to MMA.”
However, Till continued: “Well it obviously is, how are you going to stop me? If I’m losing the fight, I’m going to kick you straight in the face. You won’t know what’s hit you.”

Till has had one exhibition boxing fight against Mohammad Mutie, who he beat by TKO at Social Knockout 3 in Dubai earlier this year. He was scheduled to fight former WBC middleweight boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.
However, the bout was scrapped after the event was rescheduled when Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up. Fury, meanwhile, has a 10-0 boxing record with his biggest wins coming over YouTubers KSI and Jake Paul.
